It would do no harm to have the retail LFG tool, just like it would do no harm to have the in-game shop, or dual-spec, and achievements and yadi yadi yada…
I’ll just tell you that if you want the “retail architecture”, you can go have it in retail.
Seriously the game is called TBC CLASSIC not TBC Retail.
Dungeon finder in retail isn’t even used for any relevant content, why the hell would you want to do heroic dungeons with dungeon finder? It’s an abomination, which is why they made it irrelevant in retail for anything other than levelling alts.
Wrong, it didn’t pair you att all, you had to choose LFG or LFM and then had to choose 3 dungeons HC or normal. It basically worked the same way as retail…
Google images of tbc LFG system and your momories will come back.
This is something that could exist in Classic+ but who knows, tho I give you the benefit of the doubt on that one.
==================
But as for the rest and your other threads, I am not sure what to say.
We already know that we’re dealing with someone who asked for basically all cash shop services and retail features and your “change list whishes”.
Then you have another thread on the subject to change the game so it fits you with “Dungeon finder for TBC”.
Followed up with your “Promote the 58 boost”.
What will be your next threads for your tbc changes?
Mount collections
Heirlooms
Faction change
Race change
…the list goes on that was not in TBC back in the days.
(Name change was added October 2007 during TBC tho, still no word on that, yet)
==================
What is either kinda funny or sad is all these (new) player telling they don’t have time or don’t want to play up Classic toons now when there is still plenty of time with no stress. TBC launch is still X months away.
Considering the attunement, key (rep) grinds and much more to be ready for raids, I’m guessing the tourists…I mean the new players will maybe last 3 months tops before quitting.
Lastly, those who did not play Classic at all and refuse to play it and simply just wait for a 58 boost, only have one (boosted) character, having no gold, no professions (alts)…nothing and then enter outlands with people who acually did put in the time and effort getting that, not sure how fun that will be for them.
It was because you and Tanvar and some other people made threads about how bad it is. And to be honost you were making a big scene for nothing.
So in response i had to make one to defend the boost, you forced my hand.
What would you like to see added if you can pick one item?
People can decide for themselves what is fun, the boost is optional so you can still level from 1.
Did you read my thread about why the boost is good?
There you can find some of the smartest people on the forum with really good ideas about why the boost is needed and good explanation about why it is a good addition.
So you yourself say that your topics are based on :
“They made topics to attack what I like, so I made a topic to say that I like it”
while your arguments are nothing more than :
“I’m lazy and try to justify myself with walls of text”
and
“I pull claims out of my butt to give myself some weight because I can’t argue”
and
“You attacked what I liked so I had to defend it” showing that you’re basically unable to separate what you like with what’s rational.
I don’t denigrate people, but you’re either a troll or simple-minded. No point in taking you seriously.
Not to mention that you are simple enough to bandwagon, and view the issue as “us vs them” instead of using your brain to think further than your nose.
May i add that because of the aggresive assault on the boost. in which you had your fair share of blame in this us vs them was created, so do not act innocent.
And now you say i make it us vs them? Sure m8, keep your head in the sand and blame me, go ahead im used to it.
Dungeon finder in wrath were one of the worst things blizzard have introduced, and the devs admitted that later.
It removed one of the key factors of the game, which is community, while it was still a option to form your own group and do dungeons, the convenience factor eventually became too much, since players became lazier because of it.
Now i understand that there is many people who loved the dungeon finder, especially players that does not have a large social network in game.
Problem is that this system removed the need to be social, so players with little social network, then didnt need to try, thus for them the game became mostly a single player game with “bots” that would seem to be scripted with messages from something you can find in post game league of legends chat.
Because why be nice to other people that do minor mistakes, when you will never see them again? There is no accountability for your actions, so as long as you dont go beyond the games limit for what it take to get banned, you can say pretty much anything no matter how unjustified the reaction is.
And we all saw what happened when cataclysm released, and we got dungeons with some form of difficulty, players quit in the hundreds of thousands if not millions, and this was not just because of the difficulty, but going into a random heroic in cataclysm, you would never know what kind of unjustified abuse you would get, especially as healers and tanks, that often got the blame for other peoples mistakes.
If we get WotLK classic, i’d much rather prefere that they dont put in the dungeon finder at all, and rather do the retail premade finder that they hinted towards with TBC, as long as they keep it server wide, and rather do connected realms for the servers that are struggeling with population.
The retail premade finder, is simply just a improved version of the TBC dungeon finder, which is why they are talking about adding it.
People who don’t have a lot of time to play should just not play a game like (classic) wow. But no, better ask Blizzard to change the game like it’s not you who plays the wrong game…
Sure, because i like dungeon finder…
I bet you 1000g most wow players like dungeon finder. Ofcourse not those “no changer” folks which flood the forum, they would not agree.
I am not joking, i have friends who like wow but only from wotlk up because for a big part of this function.
What most people like does not matter because most people are pretty dumb and degenerated. Blizzard ruined the game because they wanted that “most people” play it which means the game needs to attract degenerates.
You betting 1000g that most wow players like dungeon finder is silly because the players who don’t like it aren’t wow players anymore.
It’s like asking who likes retail and then just ask retail players xD
Ask the classic only players about dungeon finder if you want to loose your 1000g.
Would you be able to explain why you like dungeonfinder? Whats makes it the best feature in the game?
I can. Let me explain it in a real life example. As this is how it goes most of the time.
Let’s take WOLTK
Im done working and tired. I go home eat and it is time to relax.
I want to do some dungeons, great.
First in the routine is to roll a nice fat joint (i always need it when im playing)
I queue up for a dungeon or bg. Between this and the finder having found a group i can spend a few minutes doing whatever.
I can actually play some dungeon when my joint is halfway burned.
When i do this in Classic i can smoke 2/3 joints and im still lingering in orgimmar trying to get a full group.
But even tho i like the feature, i am accepting it is not in TBC and i already managed in classic without it. So it is not a must, but a big wish yes.
