Dwarf druid when?

Hi,

I know this has been asked many times before and this question is by far not new…
But as the time goes on and on, having no dwarf druids makes less and less sense.

I would like to just point out, that blizzard could “beta test” this somehow, maybe via test realm or something or even release this in waves.

Their main arguments from what I have gathered (I might be wrong) are:

LORE
APPEARANCES

LORE:
Here I won’t dip into super complicated details of pros and cons, wildhammers, other clans, whatever… I’ll say this:
Dwarves have shamans and monks, they are strongly affiliated with nature on so many levels.
What would be wrong with dwarven hermit?

APPEARANCES:
I understand this could take some time, but here is my point with releasing stuff in waves.
I personally would be totally ok with basic forms druids already have and from point of view of a dwarf:
Bear stone form - already in game in several modifications/flavors (legion, DF)
Moonkin - hell, give us some glyph of stars or so, and deliver later with some round of cosmetic updates.

TL:DR

Give us dwarf druids, there are no obstacles in the way in technical terms
Give us class first, schedule super cosmetics for later

Ion can’t think of lore reasons so no.

There is no need for lore reasons.
The last few expansions have been pulled out of thin air, with Shadowlands being the prime example.

We have Night Elf Mages, and playable Man’ari Warlock. Nothing makes sense anymore.

At this point, the rule of cool is all that matters to Blizzard so we might as well get gnome and goblin druids with cat mech suits.

Ion’s own statement, hence why there was suddenly a drought on removing more class/race restrictions…

From shen’dralar in cata.

Warlocks should have been accessible to all from the start, just put their trainer at even more hidden areas than others.

That was disappointing tbh.

He really seems out of touch.

Liked Preach’s comment (regarding mop remix) about how they insists on sticking with their vision rather than go with the flow/community. Unlike Helldivers where the devs were quick to adjust according to their community.

Absolutely nothing regarding the in-game character lore and races with certain factions has made sense in a long time.

I used to be vehemently against opening up the combos but at this point the floodgate isn’t just open, it has been for ages and it’s completely drained.

Just give everything to everyone at this point. It’s not exactly going to make it any weirder than Lightforged Warlocks or the fact that Priests are able to switch between Holy and Shadow.

Dark Iron fire kitty/bear/chicken… I would love that.

In TWW the follower dungeon, the healer is Earthern Druid, hopefully it is coming soon.

And still, they added Goblin druid NPC in the TWW.

Yeah, this isn’t like warhammer 40k where picking up the wrong book will cause your planet to be erased.

Though, still can’t help but facepalm about the warlocks complaints… Warlocks are literally the most individualistic class in the game. Since vanilla everyone already hated them and their trainers were tucked away in back-rooms or slums. Anyone can become a warlock.

What always amuses me is how they seem to not know their player base. Or that our behaviour comes as a surprise STILL :dracthyr_hehe_animated:

We demand Dwarf druids! We demand Dwarf druids! We demand Dwarf druids! We demand Dwarf druids!

The Wildhammer and the Earthern DRUIDS NOW!!!

I didn’t say no one could become a Warlock. What I commented on was the Lightforged. The light-infused, religious zealots whose sole purpose is the fighting of and eradication of demons.

There’s so many things relating to the PC now that just don’t make sense.

You could and still can make Night Warrior Night Elves for goodness sake.

Ion’s yells of lore reasons completely goes against their track record at this point and is ridiculous. Like I stated earlier, I used to be strongly against this but at this point there’s zero reason to keep them locked - especially not a lore one of all things.

Like, we already got rock bears and swole-rock bears.

Except that blizzard actually did well with their Lightforged warlock lore character. Pretty much someone who got tired about the light’s selective enforcement of power and protection and wanted to see if he could do good with the less savoury sources of magic.

No Dwarf druid, is the main reason I don’t play druid tbh.

Dwarf only see mines and caves, and mushroom. I’m unable to see dwarf as druids.

I agree.
I don’t think that Dwarf Druids are a good idea.
Power sources have been a thing and should still be important. Dwarves have always had our own power sources per each class.
Dwarves and Trolls are races that can be almost every class with Druid for Dwarves and Paladin for Trolls being the exception.

It was a good thing that each race brought something unique to their respective faction. Tauren and Blood Elves were the Paladin and such of the Horde.
While for a long time Night Elves were the Alliance only connection to Druidism. Until the Worgen and Kul Tirans joined.

There should be unique Druid models that represent unique power sources. This adds to the world as a whole.
Drust Powered Druids - Loa powered Druids - Emererald Dream powered Druids - The pack form powered Druids.
Being able to be a class should speak about the race themselves. Something that is taken for granted by Blizzard. Tauren and Draenai Rogues for example, Legion introduced Gnome Hunters which was never explained although prior to that they could never be Hunters.

We dwarves are much more than that! The explorer’s league from vanilla was ran by dwarves from the very start?
We explore, we are curious race, we have shamans so we know a thing or two about earth (we literally live inside of it as you said) but we have also close to nature > Wildhammers, Mountaineers…

At the same time we get Gnome shamans!
