Heyho Argent Dawn,
It’s time for abit of an overdue update!
This last month of may we’ve been abit quieter as I personally had some irl to sort out and took abit of a break from rp to put some priority on that front!
While I was away the Morodnir however did not sit idle!
Eadwald Fairhair took the Morodnir North from Aerie Peak on a quest to find the bodies of some long lost friends slain in the very heart of the plaguelands.
Their quest however did not prove to be an easy one as the remnants of the scourge proved to have an interest in claiming these righteous remains aswell!
Over the course of several Days the Morodnir sought out the minions and lackeys of a rogue death knight, seeking to challenge their claim to the dead kinsmen with steel and fury!
While the Morodnir retrieved the remains of three of the late paladins, the death knight pulling the strings of this pestilent plot got away. His death would have to come another day.
After this heartpounding foray into the plaguelands the Morodnir headed South, stopping at Stromgarde to offer their aid against a band of Scarlet crusaders rumoured to linger in the area near Thoradin’s wall.
Battle was however avoided as the Scarlets disappeared before the Dwarves could join their alliance allies (Some people can’t appreciate impeccable facial hair I suppose).
Now with my return to the fold the company has made their way south to the lovely hills of Loch Modan.
Here we will rest for a time before we must set out again to aid some of our High elven friends and allies among the Highvale Rangers.
After our promise to the elves is honored the Morodnir will look to resume a search put to the side for too long! To hunt down the keys to the Mysterious Vault of the Steelsingers and return it’s mysterious contents to Dwarvenkind.
Phew…we HAVE been busy and will continue to be once again. Keep an eye on this thread for new updates and if you want to share in an adventure , you can always get in touch with any member of the Morodnir or me personally ofcourse.
You’ll find me wherever the action is!
Get in here! Looking forward to our next big adventure! You never know to where Frolbar leads us next… I strongly suggest for all Dwarves out there to come and join us!
Apart from near-death experiences, who knows?
To glorious adventures and challenges!
Update time!
This week the Morodnir traveled to Searing gorge where they were hoping to track down a Venture company crook and his lackeys as they were scheming to stripmine the land for Dark iron ore.
Braving the flaming depths the Dwarves found this devious trickster hard at work pillaging through one of the mountain’s many magma chambers.
Taking the fight directly to the goblins the Morodnir managed to defeat the foreman and recover the mystical key he held in his possession.
This however came at a cost as the Dwarves were unable to stabilize the magma chamber causing a violent cascade of flame and molten rock which drove us away in quite spectacular fashion!
Now the Morodnir’s returned to Ironforge where we’ll be resting and recovering before our next adventure!
If you want to keep up to date with our adventures then make sure to check in on this thread regularly.
Want to partake in these adventures instead? Then contact any member of the Morodnir for information on how to tag along!
‘‘Ye’ll find me whereever the action is!’’
Currently the Morodnir are in Vol’Dun, chasing the last key to the Steelsingers vault.
Will the Morodnir survive the blistering heat and dry conditions of the desert, and if they do, will they finally get that last key?
Tune in next time, to Dwarves of the Morodnir!
So, what we been up to?
Well, in eager pursuit of another two keys to the vault of Clan Steelsinger, that’s what! Our first chase took us to the ashen wastes and molten mines of the searing gorge!
Seeking a rascally goblin for the key he had acquired, intent to snatch it back for ourselves. However, there were some small snags…
Firstly, who the heck brought one of these to the Gorge!? it chased us for miles and tried to eat Frolbar-- repeatedly!
Needless to say, after some tactical use of lava… ahem, we managed to make it Thorium point before settling in.
Established in camp we soon made our way off on a merry few errands looking to find some lost locals, trapped in the ash storms as well as an industrious pair of Dark iron children that had ‘borrowed’ a golem! eventually we found them all but not before we had to do battle with a Core-hound pup… yikes
With that done we soon found our goblin quarry deep in the mines, clobbered him senseless and retrieved our much wanted key!
This took us to the next key, in … vol’dun!
Seeking a Kul tiran pirate known only as Hudson, we first had to set up camp, rescue some lost alliance marines and even pry one from the evil spirit of a Tiki wielding, Zandalari ghost!
With that hurdle leapt, we moved into the deep desert where at an unexpected Oasis we encountered a rag tag band of Zandalari exiles… don’t worry, we managed to come to an understanding. turns out the pirates had been making slaves of their kin!
We came to arrangement, and pressed on to later meet them at the harbor our mutual foe lurked in. Unfortunately that Evil tiki-ghost? seems he wasnt quite as dead-dead as we thought, and had ensnared a Gilnean-worgen with his evil mask! After a vicious battle we subdued him and saved the Gilnean… phew
A sandstorm inhibited our ability to move any further that night. But in a matter of a day we were on the dunes again, swiftly dodging a pirate ambush by some ruins before moving on the pirate harbor!
Avoiding their well placed defences we did battle with salty slavers, freeing slaves as we went. With brutal use of axe, magic and a “Wizard-get-big” spell, we soon had them on the run… then leapt in a mine cart?
The cart was a snug fit, but gave us the element of surprise!
At the bottom we quickly suppressed a gaggle of confused pirates, found Hudson and delved into a final battle! Despite her preciously rare Azerite blades and weapons lashing us, we managed to put her down and get the much wanted key!
(And saved some trolls coincidentally on the way, ahem).
With our adventure in Vol’dun complete, along with many sand filled socks and beards, we return home to Khaz-modan ready to open the vault itself!
What wonders await?
Soon we’re also hoping to hold another tall tales before heading to the Grand world tournament!
Then perhaps a summer journey to … Un’Goro crater! in our mini campaign…
‘Life finds a way…!’
Stay tuned for more bearded shenanigans From the Morodnir!
This could of been you, us, and all our friends at Tall Talles in Stromgarde.
Either way! having a blast telling story’s and sharing beer in the cradle of humanity!
good luck from (DRS-TTH and now COKM member) Válon Silverbraid.

Tell Cid I said hello, from Krogon!
Just wanted to pop in and let you guys know how much I appreciate these great updates!
It sucks you don’t have any rank for non-dwarves cause I’d join in my main druid in a heartbeat.
Also, I’ll pass on the greeting to Cid
Today was the second event of the… completely unofficial contest of drinking! The winners so far:
Day 1 (Sagoodi Kungaloosh) : Nicholas Moregan
Prize: A Keg of Morodbeer Stout.
Day 2 (Kragsmead) : Lenaria Silverstream
Prize: A Keg of Our Lady of Starlight Pale Ale.
The last one will be on SUNDAY! I dare not risk it on dueling day.
Drinks and prizes courtesy of The Morodnir and the Kragfoot Brewery. Kragfoot Brewery: Stop asking us for Thunderbrew and Barleybrew.
Having partaken in the Grand world tournament, and had a rather awesome time, the Morodnir are now relaxing… before we set out on our next adventure to southern Kalimdor… aptly named:
“Life finds a way!”
No figure, we’re taking bets on who gets eaten by a Dinosaur first.
I’ll be posting a screenshot post in the coming weeks! come say hi if you’re interested in Dwarven Adventures!
I’d be more worried about venturing into Bael Modan! If that’s on your itinerary
Our adventure in southern Kalimdor has begun! We’re currently in Gadgetzan preparing for the trek across the dunes to Un’goro…
And Eadwald remains the odds on favorite to be eaten by a dinosaur first!
Behold! Adventure!
…and too much sand…
…and too many mosquito’s…
we’ve managed to get across Tanaris despite the best efforts of some ambushing farakki trolls, a very friendly but lonely ogre and the harassment of the crater insects…
…and a Devilsaur nearly stepped on us, but oh well.
The Adventure in Kalimdor continues!
The Morod’s hard at work tracking down a mysterious crystalized dragon skull. And in doing so has made an enemy of a particularly large and exceptionally angry Devilsaur named Kroth the Ravenous.
So far Kroth hasn’t managed to eat any of us yet but we’ve had a few close calls already. Luckily a bit of quick thinking and some fancy footwork around some of the local tar pits allowed us to escape unscathed.
More adventures and new forum updates are on the Horizon. Keep an eye on this thread if you like to keep up to date on our shenanigans.
I’ll do a little screenshot post of our time in Un’goro when I have time!
for now, we prepare… for Thaldraszus!
Adventure abound!
