If the 3 days would not had been there, but the beta alone, i would had got it anyway… 3 days is a nice to have. (also the other stuff ofc)
The thing that bothers me personally much more since several expacs is, the non easy to get or non existing physical collectors edition.
Also i hope you write this and play wow on linux, or you are doomed…

sadly competitive guilds are like that. but in this case, I think bliz has time-gated endgame content in those 3 days.

So basically they are selling gold for real money.
Because I enjoy being able to play a little earlier.
Spreading out players a little more.
Everyone zerging the same quest mobs, isn’t fun to me.
Having an NPC swarmed by masses of players, isn’t fun to me. It breaks immersion.

If you actually believe that you’re going to be one of the few that will purchase this, then you probably will be in for a surprise.
I will assure you, the flooding will still happen and the only “positive” about the three day early access will be for the company and it’s shareholders.
Instead of the company actually investing in development of mechanics to counter immense flooding they would rather opt into something that will negatively impact the playerbase instead of their own profits.

there is both price and reward for playing on competitve level.
people who do play on this level dont mind paying it.
will you be trying to get world first / server first ? if not then there is 0 difference between someone who will have early access and peopel who start on launch
if anything people who start on launch will have much much smoother experience because all the problems with servers will happen anyway on midnight on launch of early access .
im honestly at this point much more hyped about launch of cata classic because leveling and dungeons experience there was very very good and strong. i know i will have fun leveling there - after leveling experience of DF i dont have high hoped for leveling experience of 11.0 tbh . but we will see.

Just get it, or farm the gold in-game to settle the difference.
If a company wants a certain price for the companies product and you want that product with all the features, you either pay up or go to a different product/company.
Or is it a addiction problem and suddenly you need the better dr*gs, but cant afford it, then get a different addiction, go out running or so

Very rare i agree with you, but you got it spot on with those 2 paragraphs. If they make open world content a 4th pillar of endgame like you (or ws it Tah??) mentioned without making the usual half baked efforts, then i might be tempted to drop m+ totally in favour of that.
I’m pretty pleased with the 3 expansion story arc thing though
