I moved over from Firemaw with my guild because i didn’t want to lose contact with them after the Gm’s made the choice to move. There were pros and cons to both options, and i tried to stay hopeful in the fear the server would be dead.
And it is dead. I have been levelling for around 3 hours today and only ran into one other player.
I know its only been a few days, but its just depressing to play on and i want to know what the options for people stuck on this server. Will the option to migrate to other be available anytime soon? Will a merge with another low pop server be an option? Because if this experience continues on as it is, classics been ruined for me and i imagine most people on these new servers.
I think it’s fine, I see players everywhere (in 20-40 zones mostly). I don’t know where that dead realm thing comes from - you’re 52, very few people level >50 already, most of us has jobs and school.
Thats the problem, ive moved to a server where thats the normal compared to Firemaw (Im a uni student on summer holiday for the next month).
I just dont feel like its the place for me and im looking at options for leaving ior fixing, what to get an idea of what the future could hold for the server
We’ve already seen a large increase in population since Friday, and as queues on Gehennas and Firemaw persist I think we’ll see steady growth as more groups decide to move over.
I took a free transfer from Deathwing back in 2005 when that server was also seeing massive queues, and everything turned out fine. You just have to give it some time
While my first impression of Earthshaker as I transfered was rather underwhealming, seeing as I expected more people to transfer immediately.
We are however seeing a steady stream of players coming in to Earthshaker which means the realm is going in the right direction. I have no doublt Earthshaker will reach Medium/High eventually which for me is the perfect size, balanced AH etc.
Transfered yesterday with 8 friends from Queuemaw, got a couple more incoming. Population is low now but there is a constant healthy growth. Think we will have a pretty chill decent realm out of it.
Imagine a server having a low population after a few days after creation. Mind blowing…
I’m on Dragonfang and my levels it’s pretty dead which is expected. However there’s a huge amount of low levels running around and levelling. It’s never going to be like the original servers, but they’ll grow. And if Blizz thinks they can merge/open up transfers from other realms then they will. But they aren’t going to do anything after a few days, especially with one “older” server which is still low/medium and having no action taken on it.
People wont move to a low server, they will do so on a medium. Merge the 3 low pop they all have the same problem. there is nothing healthy about a dead server. Try to sell something on those 3 realms lol
At the time of day and level I play at now, there is people around me all the time. From 15 to 22 the the zones are more alive than on my retail server.
Yo! Just transfered and yeah fair enough it’s not people everywhere and it might take some time to find a group but like everyone else is saying, it will grow for sure!
Got a whole guild moving this weekend and Im very sure we’re not the only ones. Just give it some time!
Also, if im not remembering this wrong a FULL server back in vanilla was about 8k players. Earthshaker is now around 7k and its only been a week.
Yeah i transfered yesterday and i’d say its OK. I see players in every zone, i see horde, chat is active.
Its not as big as Gehennas but its (for now) better balanced than Gehennas and community i slowly growing. Making posts “YEAH ITS DEAD BOYS DONT TRANSFER” wont help anyone dude.
I might move from Firemaw this weekend. Apparently all my friends have given up so not much to stay for anymore >.>.
And I’m usually good with queues, but my power tripped yesterday and I didn’t get everything back up until I’d missed the window for rejoining and went to the back of the queue.
The population is looking better! It’s currently up to Medium right now! (Friday evening)
I’m still very conflicted about moving though. Since I’m completely unable to get my friends with me, they’d apparently rather be in queue than actually play the game. Personally I’ve spent more time in queue than in the game this week. I play on Firemaw. (currently 4000 in the queue)
I’m also very worried about the new server ending up being underpopulated. I
played on a very lowpop server for a period of time before and it wasn’t good.
