Add a new hand in; “the Horde/Alliance needs more gold”
People get to exchange gold for faction rep for faction mounts etc using the commendation tokens. This will reduce the pool of gold and lower inflation.
People get to have a stab at Scarab Lord or get the other quest rewards.
Loads of people will come back to play Era for the event and it will be a bit of fun.
It could be made to any amount. Blizz have access to the stats so could set it to a feasible amount. Having the AQ event run again would be a bit of fun either way.
That doesn’t sound fair, why would GDKP be banned? If we can’t use gold for gear what’s the point of having a lot of gold. Money (gold) should be free to be used for any transaction of any kind.
(I have very little gold to be clear, I never farm, but I defend other’s freedom)
Nope. Assuming blizzard successfully bans gold sellers, there would be nothing wrong with buying gear with gold, just like there would be nothing wrong with you using your money (that you earned like a man) to buy hookers services.
Free-market. Money is money.
The only reason to ban GDKP is because people get the gold from gold sellers (not “like a man”) instead of farming it themselves like a man. Conclusion: Blizzard chooses to ban people from using their gold because Blizzards chooses to keep the subscription money from farming bots. In other words, it’s wrong, blizzard should do the opposite, allow GDKP but ban gold sellers.
Yeah I don’t get why people have an issue with GDKP. You have always been able to buy gear with gold even before GDKP was common. You would just /w a few guild leaders and ask if you could buy some gear from their guild raids and usually they would be OK with it as it helps the guild pay for consumes.
They could make a GDKP feature where the leader gets a cut of 5-10% and the rest gets a smaller share and blizzard removes 50% of all the gold players bid on items.
And just ban all other gold trading inside raids and make it harder for people with no job and 15+ chars to make gdkp runs 24/7.
