[Elf&Worgen RP] Court of Dawn

                                  Court of Dawn
Welcome to the Court of Dawn Information & Recruitment thread.

On a small island in the vast ocean of Kalimdor the elven kindred are restoring buildings and homes, planting seeds and aiming to create a safe haven from the rest of the world.

In the estate of Zin’belore they gather the refugees of Darnassus, the noble Highborne, the Ren’dorei and the worgen whom embrace the curse and use it to their advantage a new culture is developing with the nobility and ways of old yet with knowledge of the past and sworn to not repeat history.

The court was once known as Lionblade, a military force under Alliance banners. However in the aftermath of the burning of Teldrassil, the commander decided to take the Lionblade in a new direction to aid the war effort in Darkshore and build a new home for the elves, focussing on hope, rather then vengeance the court hopes to unite the elven kin of all backgrounds within the court. Highborne, Kaldorei, Ren’dorei and Worgens are all welcomed within the court.

Under leadership of the matriarch and her co-leaders known as the archons,
the court of dawn asks you to come home.

OOC: The guild focuses their roleplay on both casual day to day rp and event based rp. These events can go from training to events that last for days with our guild or others guild in server events. We recruit all elves including void elves and worgen. In the future we plan on extending the court to the Horde and open up to the SIn’dorei and Nightborne.

Are you with the Alliance?
Due to the past the decision has been made to remain neutral and serve a greater purpose, uniting the elves of Azeroth.

Why rp in Darnassus, it’s burned down?
The reason for us roleplaying here is because it is a perfect place for elves to be and unfortunately allot of elven settlements on Azeroth are either ruins or lacking in proper buildings for roleplay. Since Darnassus and Teldrassil are burned down, we roleplay that the city is an island of the coast of Kalimdor. It is important for people to understand that we will never force other roleplayers to use Teldrassil/Darnassus in the same way as we do and this rp is only done within our guild.

Setup of the court
Within the court we have 3 branches and each of them function as a place for all types of elves and worgen. You can gather more information on each branch by clicking on “More information”.

More Information

What do we do?

  • Our main priority is to take care of the physical and mental health of our brethren, allies and any (Alliance) stranger, knocking at our gate, who might be in need.
  • We pray with and for our people, issue blessings, hold counselling, teach the young Kaldorei and our allies and hold sermons for the goddess.
-We are here to ensure and safeguard a prosperous future for our kin among an ever changing world. It up to us to ensure, the ways of our ancestors are safeguarded and maintained.
  • We are the force of encouragement in the Dawnwind House, the pillar of strength and beacon of hope towards the inhabitants of Zin’Belore and their allies. We are rebuilding that, which has been so cruelly taken from us and shall be more than ready to follow our esteemed High Priestess, regaining the sacred grounds of the Kaldorei.

Where is our base?
The Elu’rei reside within the former “The Sunset House” now Zin Belore. This place is an old Estate owned by the Shadeclover Family before its offspring, Ronolleth Shadeclover, lead us there. Two priestesses and one novice, who followed the family Matriarch, Kyra Dawnwind, as she decided to follow the High Priestess, have taken it upon themselves, to restore the estate’s chapel to its former splendour. After a lot of hard work, these three have managed – with help from the other factions – to free the ruin that was the chapel from all the rubble and from the entwined, sometimes hostile, roots. Grass grew on its floor once more and at the center, the statue of Lathar’lazal and the moonwell have been empowered.

What is our culture?
The night elves use the word “god” in plural (“Gods help us all”; “May the gods have mercy”), and the Temple of the Moon in Suramar had frescoes and murals depicting Elune and many other gods (actual gods, not demigods) shaping the world. This demonstrates that night elf religion is actually polytheistic, but above all stands Elune, the moon goddess. Her priests, the Sisters of Elune, are the leaders of the night elf military, and her high priest is the official head of the night elf nation, formerly ruling from the Temple of the Moon in Darnassus.
The night elves also worship their ancestors. This worship takes the form of offerings, traditionally rice cakes that are blessed in the Temple of the Moon. While Elune is a goddess of peace, she is not a pacifist. One of her aspects is the Night Warrior, who takes the valiant among the dead and sets them riding across the sky as stars. Due to Tyrande’s recent performance of the Night Warrior ritual, many of them now once more roam Kalimdor.

Falah’dor (crafters, workers, teachers)

More Information

What do we do?

  • Upkeep, repair and beautify the Estate, the grounds and farming fields
  • Provide services to the citizens of Zin’Belore, such as commissioned pieces of art, crafted good and such.
  • Operate the Estate’s workshops (boutique, distillery, forges, shops etc), farmlands, lodging camps, hunting grounds, stables and mines.
  • Explore the academic wonders of the magical arts, both benign and beyond
  • Expand and explore the dormant Highborne Culture, via the performance of songs and plays at the Estate’s theater and inns, as much as offering samples of other cultures to the public.

Where is our base?
The Household’s strictly operates within Zin’Belore, the Estate’s grounds, mostly within the industrial zone and the ancient Servants’ Quarters. Exception to this include outside operations such as extravaganzas, bazaars and theater tours, as much as the operation of the Estate’s resource gathering points within Mirthwood.

What is our history?
Since time immortal, dating even before the rule of the Queen, there existed within the magical, glowing trees of Mirthwood an estate. Many Ladies and Lords ruled it as the sands of time slowly trickled by, each and everyone adding their own spin and color to beauty of the grounds and the sprawling forest around them. Some Lords built deep dungeons and labs, where they explored the limits of life and the nature of death. Some Ladies called to their Estate festivities and celebrations the likes of which were unseen in the ancient world. Some decked the halls in glittering golden paintings, others in the bloody entrails of their torture victims. Be it feast or famine, the Estate of Mirthwood, once known as the Sunset House, stood as a magnifying glass of its master’s soul. Artists, workers, lords and ladies from all over the ancient world would gather within the glittering halls of the Sunset House, a melting pot of ideas, cultures and knowledge, all struggling to obtain the host’s good graces and respect, and be forever immortalized by the value of their own legacy.

What is our culture?
The Falah’dor is the home for all the creative thinkers, hard workers, and lovers of the finer things in life. However, it is also the place were lords and ladies rise to the eyes of the Lady Dawnwind, a place of diplomacy, of courtesy. Politeness, manners and titles are of high importance within the Household, and even if we sometimes, in the research department, might play a bit loose with ethics, in the eyes of those around us none should be more courteous than the members of the Household itself. We are open, accepting and welcoming all other cultures of Azeroth, understanding that even if the Elven ways might be the predominant colour of the painting that is Zin’Belore, it takes more shades of blue to make the ocean sparkle.

What does it take to be part of us?

  • Be a hard, respectful worker, no matter what part of the Falah’dor you might be in, from a mere gardener to a diplomat.
  • You follow orders from your leaders but you also understand that you’re allowed to think and act as you’ve created your character. (We don’t wish to squish your identity.)
  • You put the safety of our own people above your own personal needs and defend your pack with your own life.

Uniform
Depends on the job. Usually there is no uniform, but higher positions in the Household would be expected to be dressed to reflect their status. Any display of loyalty to the ruling House will always be noted and appreciated.

What are our goals?

  • To cultivate the Estate as a melting pot of ideologies and cultures from all over Azeroth.
  • To restore Zin’Belore to its former beauty.
  • To grow our network of trading partners and allies.
  • To build a self-sustaining Estate that can stand as a beacon in these dark times.
  • To work side by side with the greatest minds of our world in seeking higher knowledge.

Have had my eye on this guild for some time now, would like to get to know it better when my situation allows for it!

This sounds like it could fit my concept quite well, from what I have read so far. I still have to work out a few things for my character, but I believe he’d do well in the Falah’dor subgroup, particularly with the arcane and cultural.

Does this include DH and DK? I may keep my peepers on this group if so c:

Yes, they are more then welcome.

I won’t lie, I read this in Sheldon J Plankton’s voice when he asks Squidward:
“Do instruments of torture count?”

By the way, very cool concept for a guild. What’s the view of the Thalassian, High Elf Role-players?

Guild feels like one big family, people are adoreable, professional players aswell as rookies. Interesting weekly events to be part of, allowing youself to get immersed into the rp.

Thank you for the kind feedback.

When it comes to DH and DK it all depends on the character more then the class. Their purpose and goals, their interactions and reasons.

The court offers a vast variety and reflection of old Highborn ways but also with many of the Kaldorei fundamentals.

We offer
A fairly big and very active guild who s only focus is role play.
Teaching and tutoring for new role players.
A place to grow and develop for old school and developed role players.

ooc
An active and social discord.
A well developed website with plenty of extensions to our role play and settings.
Established and organized guild and management.
rl Age range between 18 - 50.
Mature and respectful ooc interactions.
And a tiny little minecraft sever only for guild members.

It’s a wonderful guild! With serious officers, that takes care of there members and they doesn’t even get paid for doing it!? right now we are building up the academy and we could always need more Arcanist or mages to hold lessons and do fun things!

Just spoken to Alshara who is seemed so excited to have another High Elf RP’er considering to join the Guild.

I can’t wait to meet this Guild IC tonight and (hopefully) expand on her relations with the Kaldorei, since the horrific war.

Oh, I should contact an officer soon then, it sounds right up my character’s alley!

So is this primarily a Highborne group with Kaldorei being secondary?

How do Worgen play into this as well?

I just want to get myself a clear picture of whats what before I go making inquiries.

Nyldrieth.
Not exactly.
It is many different elf kin in the court and is reflected therefore. For example if a larger group of Ren`dorei would join they would most likely make an imprint and add part of their culture or ways. But I think you can come and rp with us to find out more as there is a lot of personal character history that reflects in the structure of the court. I do believe we have more Kaldorei characters then Highborn but the court is Pan elf, meaning all elf kin who is willing to work hard for their place have the possibility to gain influence, rank and titles. Then not all is set in stone as the official story changes so do the court adapt to some parts but choose to keep others of old.

Our worgen s are mainly " Anduàth" ( The Dawn pack ). This means they are specific unit trained within our Alashànir army to function as “honor guards/guardians”.
They are chosen for their special abilities and as they are not part of the elf politic and hopefully not influenced.
(There are a few exceptions and possibilities for the more " peaceful citizen type of worgen " to work in the more practical fields or academy. )

As we are a big and active guild we can offer role play that include politic, plots and interactions that is hard to do in smaller guilds or between groups. Here you have the possibility as we are all on the same level ooc wise.
Though ofc one can join the Army and focus on more military duties, or perhaps be a trader, minister, diplomat and much more.

I hope this gave you a more clear view?

You do not need to contact any officer.
All our recruitment is done ic where you meet up and talk to anyone of us. You will be delegated to a person of rank and title who can share and give you more information ic from there.

The court will remain in SW at the pond area mainly until Saturday eve as we shall then travel and participate in the Night market in Tanaris.

We will the coming two weeks remain in our estate " Zin`belore" to introduce and guide all our new members who have joined us during our recruitment in Stormwind before we head out for a longer travel.

If anyone wishes to interact with us while we are " home", you may just whisper any of our members ooc and we shall give you a reason for a trip to the Island.

As the court traveled to Tanaris and the night market more of the worgen joined their cause eager to find work away from the streets of Stormwind. While the night spread its cold wings in the dry and dusty goblin city, the elf of old and young attempted to enjoy them self in the diversity of a night market.

This while the strong and watchful worgen guards kept a close eye on the ladies and lords and foremost the Matriarch herself who seamed eager to buy any Highborn relics if they would resurface at the auction. However the auction was a disappointment for the Lady and while some of the more outgoing and young elf enjoyed the interactions many of the others felt the gathering was crowded tainted of foul smell and to loud for their sensitive and vigil ears.

The general ordered a camp set up outside the city walls and while the market was in full blossom many eventually gathered and watched the trade and commerce from a distance.

“Gladesong”, “claw” and “Morrow” was granted leave and decided to gather others for a nightly hunt in the vast desert as the night was still young. Before the first sunlight would appear most of the elf kind would rest and the worgen guardians take over for the day shift.

The court would remain a few days before opening a portal back to their beloved Zin`belore and offering their new members a guided tour of their new home.
