No, he used to be an undead rogue (not sure about Gender, I think male), and later rerolled blood elf female for the racial. The extra energy was insane for the additional burst. Very welcome in arena 
Actually, since you mentioned ganking in IF, wouldn’t it make more sense he would be a Horde? Maybe you misremembered him being a human?

There was a human rogue during TBC named Hid. 100% sure. Or maybe Hid with a messed up ‘i’. I just have amazing memories from back then. As far as arena goes, when it comes to 2v2 we played rogue/Spriest and kept losing to Ranger and a really good druid(forgot his name, was something short). 3v3 we played rogue/priest/mage(me, Idkfa and Pazzo from Overpowered+another priest, which i can’t remember right now). 5v5 was kinda hard for a rogue(specially horde side, I think. Played a fun comp with a few guys from Paradigma I believe (rogue/war/shaman/priest/druid). Remember only Grabben, troll priest.
Edit: I have one recorded victory in 5v5 against the best paladin in the world - his royal highness Athene the master of all mortals, first of his name, the breaker of the internetz, the mother of kanker. Their warrior iknowuwantme, who also played on horde side, got disconnected, though.
I think you are correct with the 2 Hid’s. If you were doing a lot of arena back then I probably faced you a few times. Played mainly Rogue/Mage, Rogue/Druid with Droogkloot/Dr.cox. I think we were at around 2300 in 2s.
Also remeber the names Grabben and Iknowuwantme.
We were around 2100-2150 in 2s, reaching 2200 a few times. But played 2v2 mostly for fun, same goes for 5v5. Rogue/Spriest wasn’t the most viable comp back then, but was always a blast. As far as 5v5 goes, like I said, back then there weren’t that many people eager to grind the arena. That is why at the end of TBC I moved to Stormscale to chase high level PvP, which as I look back now, perhaps was a mistake. Or perhaps it was just a timing thing, dunno.

RA during the Karazhan days, then was just casually PvP’ing for the rest of TBC. Spending way too much time in Durotar. I think I was guildless actually.
For sure for sure dueled you at some point in time. Also, when I clicked on Team HK guild tag, I saw so many familiar names, it’s sick. Straknos, Kejt, Koril, Krakan, Cue, Bobthedog, Shay, just to name a few.
Edit: Cue I think might have been a tauren hunter at the time, not 100% sure. Damn, going through these guild rosters brings back so much memories.
I remember your rogue by the same name, not for anything in particular just from being around Durotar on Emeriss. Good times.
