my 455-456 alts need them for a) weapons b)trinkets . to hit 458-459 itlv .
so yes people do need emmisaries.
for example this DH would be 457 if i swapped gear with sockets for 455 from visions with worse stats and finished cloak to 15 and it still needs to replace 430 trinket with 445 one 
Sure. Much faster. Or be in a guild that boosts their members. Or buy boosts. Or go Conquest. Or buy gear. All perfectly valid ways of gearing. Plenty of ways to gear.
But that’s not what I was responding to. Blurey said Emissaries and Invasions, and I don’t see how that speed is possible using only Emissaries and Invasions.
but why would one use only emmisaries for basic gearing ?
i have seen this mistake on launch - people cleared wq first before spamming hc dungeons on liek day 2 of expansion. and felt behind the gearing curve few itlv 
and were whining why nobody wants to take them to mythic 0

I’m happy with it, less mandatory vibe to do them and it is a bit silly that 4 wqs gets you gear to equal ilvl of a +7 or normal raid
Besides it’s probably just to balance gear acquisition. N’zoth invasions and visions added more sources of stronger gear after all

You have no concrete proof of this.
Bad rng always seems longer than good rng.
What would be fair, is both sides having the same rewards.
But Blizzard don’t seem to like fair, or logical.
They could sort this 
show out instantly.
On the next reset both sides start with the same reward.
There are 7 different rewards available
Azerite, War resources, Gold, Ring/Trinket, Armour, Weapon, Mana Pearls.
One of each reward once a week, easy.
But for some insane reason they prefer to see players arguing on the forums.
Personally the only reward I care about from emissaries is the 3000 reputation.
I got a prist boosted and geard him in two weeks time from 390-441 doing just wq,emissary,vision assaults.Same thing with my pala and shmy(last time i played them it was in 8.2.5.) since i joined the game in the last month…took me for 3 characters around tree weeks…havent touched anything for the last two weeks and i am sitting on this pala and my shaman on 454-455ilvl.
um I had a weapon emissary on horde last week and hadn’t had one on alliance for about 3 weeks … ive had 2 in 3 days on alliance now, which is a bit odd
3 weapon, and an armor, emissaries on Alliance within a week I believe.
Alliance lucky month is may.
I think the reason why it’s sucked so much is because it’s double EXP.
Everyone is leveling alts, so you log in and want to go do your 4 dailies to try get some loot but i’m pretty sure in the last 20-30 days we’ve seen 0 weapons and two Azerite gear caches.
I don’t know why they changed how it was in Legion, where it would just give you a chest.
That was so much better.

i have been checking emmisaries every single day for last 2 month and there hasnt been a single weapon emmisary then .
last reset especially when it was 5 days resources 1 day pearls and 1 equipement.
but isn’t that blizzards fault? why does it have to be rng? why cant it just follow a preset rotation? like weekly holiday events, or the pvp conquest rewards are predictable of when they will occur.
and ALSO, why did they have to make the reward different between factions? and dont say because the factions have different reps, we all know that most faction specific reps has its mirror, like zandalari trolls mirror is proudmore admiralty.

Probably because alliance population is almost non-existant so they try to give them the incentive to continue playing by rewarding them.

Just commenting on the fact that alliance had this issue for months and months and it’s only been a few weeks for horde to go without loads of weapon emissaries but it’s like a major crime now 
Oh no alliance are the beneficiary of extra weapon rewards for once!! Better batter the doors of blizz HQ down stat…

im not saying you did or didn’t. im saying the root cause of this issue is blizzards choice. what faction we are on shouldn’t matter. it shouldn’t happen to either of us.
