Enchanting and TBC

Thats me

Which char did you delete Kuni? You leveled your rogue Dzykei to replace an existing level 60 with the name Dzykei?

I deleted my 60 warlock named Dzykei

LOL thats amzing, can you send me screenshots on Discord? I want to see

You know you could have just transferred Dzykei to another server and taken the name… ?

It’s not about the power level of different things but how heavily players will alter how the recreated expansion will be played like. World buffs and few other things altered Classic Vanilla and the question is will drums, professions or something else will alter Classic TBC to something that never was.

TBC can have mass pala farmers, PvP realms with ~99% Horde, all average or higher guilds rotating drums 100% of the time, absurdity about enchanting/jewelcrafting (economical or how the game will feel with it). Meta slaves but also how modern times look like.

The meta slave mentality is crazy in classic and that will definitely continue for all future expansions. But world buffs are not just for guilds following “the meta”, all guilds use them. All players will get them, including the most casual players. At least the basic world buffs HOH and ony. The reason is 1) it’s easy (“stand in a city”) and 2) it’s ridiculously powerful. neither of these things apply to profession perks.

I don’t follow the meta, it’s not required in my guild and it doesn’t prevent me from performing well in PVE. But I still get world buffs. because, why wouldn’t I? there’s no downside.
Whereas I have no plans to change my professions based on pve buffs in TBC.

LW is as good in tbc as engineering is in vanilla, for most classes.

If people are willing to spend time/gold on a trivial enchant then let them.
It doesn’t diminish my gaming experience, unlike the current world buff meta.

yeah so it’s very strong but won’t be a requirement.

Nothing is ‘Required’ unless your RL says it is.

Yeah of course. WHat I mean is that the vast majority of guilds expect you to get world buffs in order to raid.

In contrast the vast majority of guilds do not require you to have engineering, in fact I’ve never seen a guild require that in classic.

So world buffs =/= engineering/leatherworking :stuck_out_tongue:

Every somewhat serious guild require engineering on my server, before AQwhen everyone ran to BRM the guilds that didn’t require engineering got obliterated by sappers. We had nights with 10-15 guildies just camping the mountain and taking out full raid groups of 40 no-name guilds trying to enter Bwl ((

Fair enough. You are on Gehenass which is a massive meta-streamer-core server right?

To be fair I have been lucky that my server has never had a significant amount of griefing or battling between factions, BRM always been pretty peaceful.

Engineering I have never really seen anyone consider it essential for pve. only pvp.

It’s the only DPS increase Prof I you throw dynamite/sapper/nades in your rotation, and it’s required for speedruns. But yeah not much use pve wise, sappers are a big help on viscidous and big trash pulls/ninjapulls.

For speedruns sure. 99% of guilds are not speedrunners lol

Viscidus is the only boss they are useful on, out of what… 35 bosses or so in this game?

Yeah, but mining is not good for any fight  and it is a DPS increase to use sapper/dynamite on all fights.

Mining is… useful… can mine the ahn qiraj guardians…
I have herbalism and mining on my main. Top Deeps.
