The alliance, especially humans are untouchable and will lead the charge again in Form of Bolvar of the next center figure. Pure alliance and human bias and blizzard knows it. It is disgusting how once is neutral blizzard slaps boring humans in our faces nobody asked for. Anduin and the others are what really ruins the story.
The Horde suffers the most from it by either being villain batted or sidelined as sidekick so that the alliance can feel good about themselves.
To solve this problem we better kill some more dozen human characters so that other races can also shine for once. The entire game is chained by their human potential and needs to be set free by better writing.
Because this game caters to human fans only and that’s an unfair and unbalanced privilege that needs to be stopped. Just look at this list of major characters https://wow.gamepedia.com/Major_characters
This guy has legit been hating on humans for the last 3 years. I can’t tell if he’s a persistent troll or a psycho who hates himself irl 'cause he’s human.
Regardless, humans are one of the races that lost the most cities in Warcraft. End of story.
i think we should join the alliance in purging the furry menace instead death to the pandas and death to the vulpera make the horde great again also if we lost humanity and their human potential who’d fight against all the other alliance races are a sad joke specially the gnomes
Had Blizzard attacked SW instead of Darnassus, and SW would have been destroyed as much as UC (with just Varian’s resting place (or the entire park) left intact), I would see the sense in this.
One warchief hub vs. a High King hub. Well balanced writing AND having said SW replaced by a much better Kul’tiras would have been a nice compensation. Something the Forsaken have not to show for, btw.
At the next stage finally rejuvenate Gilneas and humans within the Alliance would have two super great places still
Again, that would be far better writing than giving the Alliance twomajor human hubs, NO reforged Gilneas still and another race’s capital completely obliterated. So yes, I agree with the OP, too much is simply too much.
Same with the Elves on the Horde side. Somebody please flatten ugly outdated Silvermoon (which has nothing original about it, except floating flower pots, brooms and static looking nature surrounding it). Instead give all of Suramar to the Elves, not just the Nighthold and lets tp all Belves there. They’d be most happy there … and so would the rest of the Horde
think the problem why they didnt do this, but instead made the story about how sylvanas fooled the alliance in to thinking that.
is becuse had horde attacked stormwind at full force, Blizzard would have to make the Night elfs do a full attack on ogrimar also, becuse if they had not done that, many alliance members would have questioned why,
but buy making it darnassus instead, it was easier to say the alliance was to far away to help, this would not have been the case whit the night elfs, who had not done much in the war as of yet.
Why? Sylvanas’ throne is in UC. A thorne in the flesh for all Gilneans.
If SW had been attacked, the first move would have been to destroy UC. As defeating the Horde’s warchief would have been a major move to throw the rest of the Horde at Orgrimmar into chaos. Leaderless and without immediate strategy.
Then in a second move - after having Sylvanas’ head on a pike - the Draenei and the Night Elves on the Kalimdor side would have prepared for the final thrust against hapless Orgrimmar, i.e. softening its occupants until the full force of the Alliance would have arrived.
But the Horde was introduced in this game as a villain faction, at least at first. The Alliance was formed to stand up to the Horde’s invasion of Azeroth. A lot of things have changed since then, but the Alliance remains mostly a defensive faction while the Horde is bound together by their desire to survive in what could very well be defined as a hostile world.
Bias ? No, more like the fantasy of the two factions. Most of WoW creators have been more aligned to the Horde in one way or another (LVL80ETC anyone ? Power of the Horde ?). And sociologically speaking, most of the Horde races are more prone to conflict than those of the Alliance. The Orcs have a warrior culture and they live in a barren wasteland devoid of natural resources which makes it vital for them to conquer new territory such as those in Ashenvale ever since Vanilla. It’s basic geopolitics combined with their culture. Forsaken have struggled to survive since day one with no loyalty to anyone but their own, trying to survive in a dead land with enemies all around them… breeds a culture of mistrust and self reliance. The Sin’Dorei are somewhat different nowadays, but one could argue that without the Forsaken positions in Lordaeron they remain vulnerable to an attack from the Alliance and at least in a real life situation international relations theory would argue that will push them into a more offensive stance in order to keep any potential enemies at bay.
Blizzard has created the Horde as a faction with a survival and warrior centric culture. That leads to militarism most of the time, not peaceful loving green skins. The Alliance is less warrior centric, lives in more prosperous lands (hence lacking the incentive for military expansion) and is built around certain values while the races of the Horde are bound together more by realpolitik than by anything else. That’s what makes the difference and it’s really what makes the Horde interesting, even if some may see it as bias.
SW and OG will never go simply because Blizzard would have to re-do dozens and dozens of quests from each expansion. That’s not even up for discussion.
Who said anything about “go”? A heavily damaged city can always be rebuild. It’s different for places that are obliterated. Neither SW nor Orgrimmar would have suffered this fate. Their size alone makes this impossible.
Besides don’t forget, BfA gave us Kultiras. A beautiful substitute.
They do not re-do quests for Night Elf players, so, why would it be necessary for SW? They just phase it as “inaccessible” from Level 110+ (like they do with Darnassus). No big deal.
