End the human/alliance bias

Darnassus was never used for anything past Teldrassil questing. Whereas if you want to start any expansion and in some cases even patch content you need to go to Stormwind/Orgimmar.

That was created after Blizz decided to kill Darnassus.

Until BfA, in the Vale of Blossoms / Pandaria, at the faction hubs, it had the hall of portals going to all racial capitals, Dalaran (WotLK) and Shattrah (TBC).

All Blizz needed to do was to just leave this as it were and phase SW. Simple. Furthermore, since there is a boat ride to Boralus, one does not need a portal as well. Darnassus never had a portal to SW prior to its destruction (just to the Erodar and the Dark Portal) and nobody complained … all these many years.

But we all know about ā€œhuman-potentialā€ crazed Blizz, don’t we! So THAT is why we now have this SW-centric BS. … At the expense of Pandaria AND Darnassus, I might add. Other racial capitals have been even further moved into the background. It’s pathetic.

As a player, i.e. a paying customer, I do not appreciate if the company selling the game forces my hand in the way of how I play it. This should be my choice. And if I, for example, wish to avoid SW, there should be means to do so, without any penalty. Same with Orgrimmar.

No that was created in Cataclysm. Wanna go to Vashj’ir? You start in SW/OG. Wanna start the troll questline from 4.1? You start in SW/OG. Wanna go to Pandaria? You start in SW/OG. Wanna go to Draenor? You start in SW/OG. Wanna go to the Broken Isles? You start in SW/OG. Wanna go to Argus? You start in SW/OG. I’m not gonna count BfA stuff here and I’m pretty sure I even forgot about something.

This all would have to be redone if they destroyed the capitals and that’s why it’s never going to happen.

You can easily place this elsewhere, e.g. Vash’ir is adjacent to Dun Morogh - so why not place the initial quest giver at Menethil Harbour? Pandaria, ok let it be SW because Varian is looking for his son, Draenor can be exclusively at the DP without going to SW first, Broken Isles could have started from Gilneas.

Why are in-game allies treated with such indifference? You want to make the game exciting, you create exiting hubs all around and not just a convenient hub so the game developers don’t have too much work on their hands.

For anyone maining a race other than SWdians this whole scheme sucks.

Why would you spend development time to re-do ten years old content for no reason whatsoever? I’d rather have them working on new content than changing old things that actually work.

not realy, you se, best way to secure a war to go better for you after an attack on stormwind, would be to eradicate the only true threat in kalmidor, what would have been ogrimar, thunder bluff would not have been a threat, becuse I doubt the tauren would have stay in the war for long anywas.

I’d actually say it sucks more stormwindians. Stormwind just isn’t a human city anymore, it’s an Alliance city. Between the dwarven district, the elven and Worgen refugees on every corner and groups of all allied races patrolling all the time it’s kind of hard to see it as a ā€œhumanā€ place at all by now. If the architecture was a bit more of a mixture, I might even be okay with that as a non-human.

That remark coming from a person playing a SWdian (albeit ā€œhalfā€ deceased :smirk:) is quite understandable.

But not so for other players maining other races. They want their hubs to be exciting, too.

Anyway, human players will further be able to enjoy the game, as Blizzard does exactly as you wish them to. So, good for you!

No, that remark comes from someone who does a lot of leveling and old content, hence he sees how broken and bugged the game is, so he wants Blizzard to fix the actually not-working content instead of touching something that works completely fine because some screechers on the forums said so.

I hope so. Stormwind is the capital of the Alliance, Stromgarde is reclaimed, Kul Tiras is back in the fold. Lordaeron, Gilneas and Alterac are the next targets, we might combine it with the third purge of Dalaran for good measure too, maybe then the blood elves will finally get message.

I’m just gonna link to Araphants post from a while back, where he talks about the ā€œhuman potentialā€ and bias thing.

Let’s be real, no ammount of truth will make the people screaming ā€œhuman potentialā€ stop. Either just play their games with them if you are in the mood or just ignore them.

Maybe Blizzard has the same attitude like you? You see, everybody can be called a ā€œscreecher on the forumsā€. So why, should they listen to these people, when they listen to noone else? Bugs are part of this game, btw, or didn’t you know?

Oh Boy, nothing beats self-righteous human potential. Neither in the world of games nor in real life^^ Have a good night, dear, I am sure you will sleep well on your batman pillow :smirk:

The transmog motto of the week was ā€œThe Sea and Meā€. It’s a beautiful hat.

True. Are you going for the fisherman raincoat look?

More a 1920s beach outfit!

The worst part of the obvious alliance bias shows by the end of the war campaign where Thalyssra and Lor’themar start fangirling about Jaina and Shandris. Blizzard is so one sided and biased in their writing for the alliance here it is not even funny.

The new Alliance intro does seem to focus more on Stormwind as the main and relevant faction city.
But it seems that they are highlighting how welcoming it is with other races.
