Engineering goggles

Hey guys I collected a pair of engineering goggles on alt account in order to collect the apperiance. However, I thought after collecting it I can use it on other alt headpiece as transmog even tho the Alt I am trying to use them on doesn’t have engineering.

Is there something wrong since I can’t find it or this is not the way it is supposed to work?

What is the armor type of the item, and the armor type for the alt you are trying to use them on?
