Enhancement or Ret for Solo PvP ?

So, PvP is at our door and I want to fix myself about which class is good in Solo PvP, especially that no Battlegrounds till Phase 3, so which spec is good for World Solo PvP, please care to explain why, thank you :smiley:

mage rogue spriest

rogue beats anything 1v1 when all cd\s are ready.

mage is just all round good vs most classes, gets beaten by hunter or a good engineer rogue,

spriest is also pretty strong in 1v1.

those are your strongest if its pure 1v1 and solo pvp

if u want mad pvp with grps and support

play warrior or mage

Both are poor world pvp classes. I’d go with Elly if you can get some gear.

Neither paladins nor enhancement shamans (… the hell is “ench” by the way?) have a good reputation in 1v1. I think they do ok against other melee (perhaps excluding rogues with PvP specs), and shamans can be deadly when the RNG Gods are on their side (you think you’re killing one and suddenly half your health goes out the window), but ranged classes will give you headaches.

I don’t think I’ve seen Classic elemental shamans in PvP yet but I can see why other posters might recommend it.

I think enh shaman is much much better than made out to be in general.

People are commenting on Naxx gear itemization or so. The base dmg output of ENH is very high, and their bad scaling wont reveal till BWL (and even then you can be pretty cool with sulfuran hammer, no one will mess with you).

Enh is a wonderful and powerful 1v1 class, if you throw in some healing for balance 0/30/21

holy paladin is the best healer in both pvp and pve. Dwarf priest is also prob second best or first place base on situation since fear ward is pretty handy.

as of ret pala it is not great but not bad either.

Get yourswlf a shadow reflector. Also once you got you insignia warlocks (except Soullink) are a piece of cake, they have no hp and you can simply burst them down without any stuns.

Indeed. Check out bloodskull on youtube. This is how enh shaman is suposed to be played. It is not as straight forward as most ppl think it has quite the depth to it.
