You story is not good enough to drag it out this long.
- Your characters are nauseating, forgettable and anoying
- The story is thin and tedious
- The quests are essentially all ‘go here kill this’ or ‘go here click this’
- It drags on and on and on. It seems a never ending ordeal that never stops. Waves and waves of crap quests and your ‘reward’ is a small snippet of awful story with detestable characters
- The story is so cringe it is the nerdiest thing I have ever seen. If someone walked in the room and I was watching a Shadowlands cut scene it would actually be less embarrassing to alt tab over to a private browsing tab with a hub video playing
- PLEASE DON’T make the campaign mandatory in ANY WAY in Dragonflight PLEASE it’s just too terrible
How about just focusing on the actual content people love: Dungeons, raids, battlegrounds, arena?
Do any of you actually enjoy the campaign quests?

I have a small suspicion you are in the wrong forum. I for one has no idea what a Campaign Quest is at all.
I love levelling and Questing out in the open in Classic Era and The Burning Crusade Classic, which is what this forum is all about.
The pencil next to the subject line can help you move this to the rigt sub-forum

Yes I do, and we do. I personally think the opposite (I’m constantly arguing regarding this topic with my friend who plays wow, and is the exact opposite of me, and is the same as you), why do people spam M+, raids, BGs, arenas over and over and over, but when a campaign quest or something new comes up, they dread it.
I personally think it’s cool and I’m not a huge lore guy, but I still find it interesting to do the campaigns and to explore what is to explore in the new world.

Thats fair. I kinda agree with OP, i would like it to be optional.
WoW imo should be more sandbox where you do what you want to do.
Right now its very much on rails, you do the campaigns and is quickly pushed into the big 3 for gear.
The campaign is bad. There I said it (again). As a new player it isn’t even in the correct order. And it’s designed so bad that the three campaigns aren’t clearly separated.
So you do your Covenant and accidently end up in the other campaign and the whole story is broken from that point.
Not fun to play through.
How it sends you to Korthia then Zereth Mortis.
Technically both the starter quests for Korthia and ZM can, and does, pop up at the same time partway through the regular covenant campaign. You can still see which is which in the log, but it’s kind of silly regardless.
I agree with this. They should just make the 3 soulbinds acessible without it, and it should be ok from the get go.
nope play the game dont like quit .

Should not get ZM before finishing Korthia.

Alot of those characters you call “forgettable” seem to have been in the warcraft genre longer than I was alive.

Might I remind you that World of Warcraft is an MMORPG?
As in, a roleplaying game that takes place in a persistent virtual world?
Story, questing, exploration are all key components of such a videogame.
If you only want to spam dungeons, that’s your prerogative, but either bear with everything else or play something else.
The game shouldn’t be designed around people who dislike it on a fundamental level.

Thanks for the opinions guys. Glad to hear at least some of you enjoy it and that some feel the same way as me. This is definitely grounds to make the next load of campaign quest optional. Perhaps make it so you get tokens from other activates which you can trade in to skip the campaign may be a good idea. That way all are happy.
If you don’t wanna do campaign, there is also tbc, where you can swipe and skip everything to best in slot.
Campaign and storylines and general questing PVE is about 80% of my game time, love it all.
Hopefully the game has enought varied content to suit us all with so many different types of players

It has been that way since the dawn of time.
I actually love levelling and questing.
