Delete my level 60 character, create a new character with the same name, restore my level 60 character, get a free name change?
Actually, I was willing to pay for this, but we don’t even have the possibility?

Because I don’t want to delete my character and then find myself unable to restore it for one reason or another.

Doesn’t work with level 60. Only Server change or delete and wait 3+ Months (name is reserved at 60 a few months)

No, it doesn’t work.
The only thing I can see you can do other than wait is to transfer the 60 out, then back in again, but there is also a wait for that too.
You can get a paid name change by doing a server transfer - just make sure your name is already taken on the destination server.
Depending on the server your character is in, you can transfer it to another server in the same cluster, that way you’ll keep playing with the same people. You just create a character with the same name before transfering, and then you will be flagged for renaming on arrival. You can then stay there, or transfer back 3 months later.
I’ve done this twice.
Free transfer is allways usable and does not block a paid transfer.
FE you can transfer a char from firemaw to patchwerk. Block you old name on firemaw. And use the free transfer from patchwerk to firemaw.
