Escalating Russian BG problem

Hello fellow gamers and hopefully blizzard employees

It seems the russian “problem” in bgs is escalating. I cannot ignore the fact people leave bgs the second they noticed russian enemy nameplates, and despite giving it a chance my self, i end up leaving due to half my team did so.

They might be premade or not, its something i cant validate, however they do have one MAJOR advantage due to common language and perhaps having the benefit of voice chat due to that. The Russian teams are none the less insanely coordinated compared to random eu teams.

Anyway to the point. I upright beg you guys for fixing this. People are fed up and leave bgs, basically ruining any chance of winning and thereby the chance of fighting fair scenarios within the bg.

I do not want to threaten with unsubbing as any raged person would do, but the fact is i have quit my subscription (expires in a week) as the casual bgs for me are some of the most “catchy” things about this game atm. I do want to play, honestly i do, but what you offer in value is less worth than the money i have to spend, when you don’t show any sign of listing to a community with a majority addressing this issue.

The attending Russians are 100% aware of this, and are so condescending spamming /rofl at everyone as well. This just adds to the agitation.

I admire people having other opinions than mine, but you properly ever touch a random bg.

So who ever knows a guy at blizz hq or someone with influence, start annoying him untill somthing happens. A CHANGE IS NEEDED, AND IT IS NEED NOW.

Once i played AV and saw a twichstream. I met the exact same team on the BG, they all counted down and queued together.

Then this guy with shortcut hair sat there, chewing a gum while clicking on some items on the bag causing extreme major lag on AV.

What are the odds.

To the point, tho i do belive all languages should be merged, theres no point in crying, adapt instead.
Blizz was kind enough to give great voice chat to us all, yet in a 40m bg I’m lucky if I can get 1 other person to join.
The problem is caused by the players, you dont want to dedicate all your attention to the bg in place, yet you expect to win… while listening to your favorite pornographic channel or something.
No, lets put ourselves into it and have great battles, or enjoy the losses, our choice…

Russian has 51-55% win rate , sometimes it drops 41% then I dont play bgs anymore. on russian horde.

I did not quit due to russians or implied “OMG FIX OR UNSUB” i unsubbed because the game is dull, due to no hotfixes for a long time thats entirely different :slight_smile:

I am totally aware of the mentality, but despite people actually give the bgs a chance, they still get extremely outsmarted by strategic russians ?

I would not say the epicness alone lay with winning, but being gy farmed, which usually is the outcome of facing russians, is not somthing i dedicate my time for in random bgs.

Imagine what kind of low skill / no brain teamate you were qued with to play when he/she leaves the moment he/she notices that enemy team has cyrilic names.

Better to play 10v8 rather than having these low skill people in your team.
In the end , its not even rated battleground so who cares?
Im leveling my alts from 110-120 ONLY with battlegrounds because thats the only reason (PvP) i keep playing the game.

None premade can stop me doing that.Ofc i tilt when i get gy camped or corpsecamped or when they bm me with firework/spit/lol but thats the joy of PvP

If you cant handle that someone is better PvP wise , skill wise or better organised (eg when you face a premade) you can always quit PvP and start killing npcs.

I like russians @ WoW . There are many good players who are addicted to PvP.
But i dont get why people ‘hate’ russians . There are german premades , spanish premades , french premades etc

I didnt see any single thread about ‘‘OMG FRENCH PEOPLE AGAIN’’ ‘‘KICK GERMANS FROM BGS’’

People are so scared when they see cyrilic names and thats sad af anyway

Violetta, i straight up admire your perspective, and i can handle facing russian teams once in a while, but facing them 9 times in a row, despite random queue ups, kind of ruins that point. And i disagree that 8 is better than 10 when it comes to random bgs.
I can easily handle people being better than me, and i do admire the russians being good and coordintated, but consistently being farmed, for whole days. Thats the problem. I dont judge by names, but after 10 mins in a bg confirming that the bg is a loose.

Dont tell me, you would put any joy into waiting 10-15 minutes for queue, get in a game loose and get gy farmed. Rinse repeat everytime you log on to do pvp ? I have lived with russians for years, but as my topic name says. It has escalated to a point that i only face russians, hence my complain.

I’ve been playin pure Horde from the time i’ve started the game (late WotLK) till early BfA . I had no idea how Alliance’s ques or win/rate looked like.
Few months after BfA’s release , i took the decision since my guild went 100% offline/quitted , to reroll everything into Alliance and play solo , just to witness the winrate/lore/cities etc.

To me , Alliance is way worse PvP wise compared to Horde.
Btw im not playing ‘‘Epic’’ battlegrounds.
Last time i played IoC was back at 2012 and last time i played AV was early 2016
(Just to get the Master achievements for Battlemaster)

I have a question to everyone and from now on i will start copy-paste it as a valid argument .

WHAT IF we had no option to see that the enemy team is from Russia/Germany/France/Spain etc.

WHAT IF everyone had latin characters in their characters?
You kno what will happen right?

WE WILL HAD NO DAILY THREADS ABOUT RUSSIANS
PEOPLE BLAME RUSSIANS FOR THEIR LACK OF SKILL OR ORGANISATION

I’m not shouting at you , caps are on purpose to make them clear for everyone.
Just try to be as calm as possible , take a Lucky Strike cigg packet , put some Anthrax playlist at YouTube and enjoy your PvP , its casual in the end.

In random bgs in my experience the russian winrate isnt significantly different than other language groups.

If we talking about epic bgs, then yes, but because of the reasons I mentioned in previous post, apparently they use voice chat while players in EN at least refuse to.

Coordination in a 40v40 environment is the absolute most valuable asset. You put 40 inferior players who coordinate against 40 superior players who do their solo/yolo bg hero routine and the inferior players will win 9/10 times.

Oh I do :slight_smile: Been there, done that. People cried about German premades before.
Crying about Russians is just the new fad

I encounter some Russians in pvp. I won’t say its ‘escalating’.

The most annoying thing to me are the EU players. Almost everytime I join a BG there hás to be someone to mention: “Oh its russian premade, we lose”. That sets the mentality for the rest of the BG.

And also:

Is highly annoying. People don’t even want to try to win.

Most of my losses vs Russians weren’t because they were so good, it’s because we (EU) played so bad. PvPing in mid for example, and ignoring the objective. Or letting eachother die in combat. Not give that small but vital off-heal, that impactfull slow on an enemy. The call for an inc. Its those little things that do a lot.

Sure I’ve encountered Russian premade (tonight even), but I also encounter them on German realms, French, or EU realms.

So, EU! Man up! And don’t insta leave!

Amazing that you’ve been here as long as you have, and you still don’t understand why those ‘certain europeans’ are a problem.

I’ll summarize it for you, knowing fully that you can’t be reached:

  • They play in a painfully unfun way
  • They are premade, supergeared pros that play for actual money for their clients
  • They have voice communications and mutual language (and probably know each other)
  • Admittedly, they probably (I don’t have proof, though) cheat, hack, exploit, and do anything and everything to win
  • They graveyard camp every chance they get
  • They rather farm you for honor than do the objectives (especially with 2 flag caps)
  • It’s very difficult to tell someone to kill a certain player, when you can’t read or type their name in the chat
  • They have unfair advantages, one of which being everyone speaking the same language (we get spanish, norwegian and who knows what in the chat), another being Blizz favoring them for some reason, and of course being horde and having better racials, but this is of course all horde

Here are a few reasons why people don’t like playing them. You have to realize, that it’s not always ‘low skill / no-brain’ (as if skill matters these days anyway), but it can also be a PROTEST against being FORCED to fight a certain group that always takes all the fun out of the BG.

Oh, and THEY ALMOST ALWAYS WIN. <- A pretty big annoyance.

So rather than being ganked by ‘kyrillic rogues’, it’s much better experience to just take deserter-buff and go play another char or something.

Frankly, I’d rather stare at a blank wall for 15 minutes than play ‘these europeans’ even 2 minutes.

  • Who are you to judge how someone will play his/hers games?
    I like to gang and corpsecamp low level Horde players.Thats my playstyle.
    Who in the name of God you think you are to tell me how to play?
  • Not their problem if they use voice comms.
    Join a community and play premade or get any guildmate/xrealm friend
    (If you have any with that low skill/crybaby mentality)
  • I also gy camp when i play with my premades
  • I also farm honor and HKs since thats the fun thing in the casual PvP
  • If you cant read their names , its 2k19 and there is an addon called BGE est MoP
    (It translates their cyrilic names into latin)
    But do you really need a translator to learn how to focus the enemy Resto? LUL
  • None is cheating in random bgs … They just outplay you.

Please learn how to play as soon as possible for your own good.
I mean reading your reply i can smell so many salt because someone else is better than you in a video game and its sad…

The only bad thing in this quote is that we play same faction.
I hate having such a loser in my team so its good that you quit even for 15 mins.

This “loser” you are refering to, shares my point exactly. I dont care about wether their nameplates are Chinese or Russian. That does not bother me the least, besides being unable to call a specific person out as kill target … “Resto druid kill” yeah thats fine, but what if they have 3 resto druids?? :man_facepalming: …

Some i would to do a certain extend being in a premade myself. However! As you mentioned … PREMADE! I queue up solo and face a premade, now thats where the cookie starts to crumble. If i was in a premade myself (Being 10 vs 10) I would accept the odds of loosing anytime. But the fact whole my team is a pug and facing a premade, thats simply what breaks the wheel here.

That is logic, which im sure you can comprehend as well.

Tell me a difference between what you said about russians and what others can not do.
Russian have common language - others got either , english. Suprised?
Russins are using voice. Did i miss something or every player playing wow has opportunity to plug micro and use BUILT IN GAME voice chat?
There is no Russins problem, there is problem with laziness other nationalities thats it.

Well, to be fair the Non-Russian EU realms are not all English speaking. We are mixed with german, french, spanish, italian, portuguese etc. The only European realms who aren’t mixed in with the rest of us in RANDOM bg’s are Russians. Why? They are Europeans too, no?

actualy nope, russian, french and german, can not be mixed whit the rest, unless they group whit someone from an eu realm. otherwise they always end up in groups whit other russiand or germans.

though russians are seldom a full premade, but maby more or less a 5 man group or so, but problem is you end up facing same russians over and over again, due to how little of them there is acutaly playing pvp, and due to alliance having an realy smal pool of pvpers, you can end up in bgs whit same people in mutible bgs, where horde more or less do not face this problem, exept maby for epic bgs what has a way smaler pool of players.

if they cheat or not I am not sure, some do, but so does eu players, heck I would estimate that in 10 bgs you will have atleast 2 or even 3 botts whit you, and on top of that you might end up whit horde mercs who literay only joins to grief alliance and do everything in their power to loose, aka, not doing anything at all, standing still looking at someone taking flag, not even bothering to try.

this leads to alliance having maby 3 who tries, 2 are botting, 3 are griefing, and the rest are undergeard or just fight in middle.

Healer horde merc here. Please dont badmouth us, I always do my best, sometimes its impossible, but sometimes I’ve also carried :slight_smile:

I’d also say that while the “everyone doesnt know english in EN” is a common excuse to not use voice chat, it might not be the best one as I assume most players from countries using cyrillic end up on RU realms and they dont magically know how to speak russian

We barely have premades , maybe you can meet premade once every 35 bg against russians.

But whole ru servers spam bgs throughout the day. They only play it.
