Even for the elite it's too elite

Pieces stopped participating in RWF entirely as it’s way to hard.

https://www.wowhead.com/news/world-fourth-guild-sk-pieces-disbanding-after-12-years-of-raiding-in-wow-326929?webhook

They stated:
“The market has become very competitive when it comes to the amount of hours everyone from top to bottom has to put in, it’s just no longer sustainable without sacrificing everything Irl.”

Among other things this season and SL in general is the worst.

  1. The raid is overtuned
  2. M+ is not even close to being balanced and meta is reaching levels where several classes are doing 30-40% more damage than others

How is the paying majority supposed to have fun if it has to commit even more irl time than the hardcore gamers?

If Dragonflight isn’t going to get back to fun as a first priority instead of a job simulator one can rather stick to wotlk classic at this point.

Noone cares about raids thats nothing new.

Raiding is obsolete. Very few people are gearing that way, almost nobody I see.
People are just doing their weekly 8 mythics and chilling. No need to be hardcore for that. 1 hour/day, and you get same gear as mythic raid.

Since i started playing only pvp in wow i look back and think about all time lost killing cpu npcs and i think…why didnt i started pvp earlier xD

Rated PvP, Casual Random PvP, Mythic +.

EVERYTHING is better then the raid for time invested and fun, because none of those require you to organise your IRL schedule every week for a video game, with 20 other people. And to then spend 4 hours without being able to stop. Obsolete game design, doesnt work anymore.

Raiding is the basic foundation of wow. If you get rid of the group content you can kill guilds all along… M+ is a stupid repetitive toxic mode without a story to tell. Also the wfr has way more viewers then this MDI garbage. So from a marketing perspective it is the worst they could have ever done.

I dunno how u make that conclusion

Read the statement. It’s a pretty straightforward assumption that if rwf guilds struggle to follow up with esportlands, that casuals are even more lost to participate in any content.

Not really - I’d call myself a casual, and I dgaf what the RWF do. I’m not playing this game to be hardcore, I play to have fun. My sense of fun isnt gonna disappear because the Elites are gone. Quite the opposite.

But casuals dont participate in race they just play game

finally people are noticing the absurd amount of time needed to play this game<

wouldn’t surprise me if the other guilds follow

Mythic raid wasnt made for casuals so. 99.99% of wow content is casual friendly and can be done withing decent amounth of hours.

Has become like football - the top teams need more and more resources because it’s an arms race, and they’re so desperate to compete they over-reach and sometimes can’t cope with the consequences of that (Barca, I’m looking at you). The only way round the problem is to make Mythic raids easier… or just accept that Mythic raid is like CL and very few teams will have the resources to compete every year.

Yep. The overtuning of RAIDs have finaly reached even world top Elite.

For US normal players RAIDs have been overtuned since ICC ended. That’s why lfr and flex then normal hqdcto be put into gamę. But as time show IT was never the rights solution .

Solution was making RAIDs easier and more accesible like in FF14.

I dont have any satisfaction in IT. But after years and years of stating IT on forums finally this tier we see undeniable proofs

who forces? U should call the police

Next step should be:

  • going back to two raid difficulties. One for the really casual players and one for those that want to invest in 2-4 raid days a week
  • get rid of ilvl rewards in mythic+ and make it more like challenge modes

tldr: give us back the MoP systems.

The problem with raids is that they are now designed with addons in mind.
There have been calls for addons to be removed completely or at least disabled in a raid so you’re no longer reliant on DBM or Weak Auras to tell you what to do.

WeakAuras are fine, imo, as long as its used to manage your CDs etc - I dont have WAs for calling things out to me. Just nice to have everything in the middle of the screen.
