So raiders and pvper will have a progression that scale in open world while I would basically feel like i just dinged for an entire exp
Idk how to feel about this.

they need to ban so many addons
imagine if you actually had to learn the fight and not listen to an Alarm
ban addons like DBM , BIG WIGS etc
Pretty much the same for me, with the exception that I don’t call myself casual.
I call myself ‘a non-big 3 player’.
The game still has dungeons, heroic dungeons, raids, heroic, world quests, leveling experience and pvp.
And how this has any relevance to my point exactly?
Aside from the fact you repeat things just for the sake of making a longer list that has no relevance whatsoever, but you do realize that destroying the gear progression system of an entire game mode just to push raid is out right stupid?
Why raiders should have a progression that works everywhere, while M+ player would feel underpowered everywhere else unless they commit to another game mode?
Why raiders can be able to overgear while M+ need to work their way up with a standard ilvl every time?
People like progression even in their gear if anything there should be multiple ways to achieve higher gear not less.
Its already is. 15s has caped at 262 gear which is lower than hm. Anything bigger than +15 is pure challenge
Because m+ is a bad concept to begin with? It basically takes away people from raiding because it’s way easier to create a 5 man group than creating a 25 or even 10 man group for content.
If you want challenging content for small groups there could be challenge modes like in MoP. You get a high score, you get cosmetic rewards but you don’t compete with raids over ilvl rewards.
Your content would still be there.
“Old, but not obsolete.”
When it is more fun, it is more fun. And 1 lucky weekly RNG item of mythic raid ilvl is not competing with the raid itself.
If it’s more fun you don’t need a reward that is better than most of the other content in the game that is way harder to do, right?
That’s why challenge modes were the better concept. You didn’t have to do them, you didn’t have to go into a gear grind, but they were fun and you still had something like competition.
Why is it way harder to do? M+ scales forever till the point it is not even doable anymore. M+ is the hardest (pve) game mode available.
And i hope everyone plays the game for fun. Still we got gear progression in this game. By your logic we should give everyone the same gear and then we all should go play for fun.
We should remove lfr, normal and hc raid first then. Clicking a button to que or going at whatever boss you want with no raid lockout takes away people from creating a 20 man group in Mythic.
If anything this should make you think that the current WoW population prefer more flexible and shorter time commitment compared to scheduling 3/4 hrs a night to raid.
I just cba wasting 6 hrs with people that do not know what “stack” on skolex means.
Why your content get easier over time while M+ need to have a fixed difficulty?
If I wanted challenging content 24/7 i would be pushing 25 rn i dont care about that.
I am sorry but a number does not make me feel any better i am not gonna point out where you can stick your score out of politeness.
Lets equalize gear in raid then
Why you wanna overgear? You need to embrace the challenge and beat raid with appropriate ilvl.
If anything m+ need gear more than raid considering it is scaling forever.
Because it’s harder per definition to find 25 players that can do hard content, get together regulary, etc.
And when you have content that gives equal or almost equal gear and you can do in an hour you destroy things like raids. (and with things like make raids for method not for us)
Locked 1 item per week on a very RNG basis. It is destroying nothing.
The main problem of raids for me is, they are designed to use addons.
The second problem is releasing too many bosses in one day. Releasing shorter raids (1-3 bosses) every few weeks per patch would be more fun.
I’m all for removing raid difficulties. Normal and heroic are enough. As I said, let’s go back to MoP.
You get normal raids (10+), with slight better gear than heroic dungeons and heroic raids with best gear in the game. Additionally you get Challenge Modes with only cosmetic gear/mounts/titles and everything gets scaled to your ilvl.
That’s why you play an mmorpg. Find some people that can and enjoy the content. That’s why we had a thing called guilds back in the day.
And if you don’t want “challenging” content, you still can do normal raids, normal dungeons, heroic dungeons if a bit more challenging.
If you ask me take away all ilvl on gear and give everyone the same, but some players like that obviously and so we need a small gap between world quests and heroic raids. Not a clown show like right now where you start at 144 while people have 291. Make the differences smaller so you can run normal raids with dungeon gear if you are a solid player.
You currently get 252 from ZM world quest. Normal raid is also dropping that. I am sure people can get into the normal raid. And nobody has of course 291 ilvl… Dungeons are dropping atm 236 ilvl. Also not that bad starting point.
Does the paying majority need to 1. complete the content on the very hardest difficulty and 2. do they have to do it within 2 weeks of release?
To wipe cause people cannot follow a simple thing?
If that is your thing, sure.
Not wanting something constantly challenging does not mean wanting to play activities trivial d1 of the expansion.
Again M+ are not going away.
So if anything it is raid that should have a gear equalizer, so people do not feel pressured to run M+ to progress in their fav content, because as long as M+ scale up gear increase will be part of the equation.
Only time id raid is for a mog lol
