Even without tender being sold on the store, the Trading Post was bad idea

I don’t like the idea of so many cool cosmetics being given away for basically free, instead of being the rewards of interesting content.

Can you imagine of all those new armors, weapons and mounts were rewards for M+, PvP, raids, achievement hunting, collections, the transmog event, the Brawler’s guild, or anything really?

Instead, you just get those passively over the course of the months.
It’s a bit lame, I think. And lazy.

The tenders are being rewarded for doing game content, not for free.
Maybe you don’t like that casual players can get them too since the requirements are not that high.

No, I’m fine with those rewards being locked behind casual content.
You could lock them behind reputations, world quest achievements and collections, or pet battles.
They could even be normal dungeon rewards, locked behind a currency for example.

I just think that a specific item should be granted for doing a specific activity.
As I said, dumping a bunch of cosmetics behind an NPC that just says “go play the game” is very lazy in my opinion.

I think it’s great. It’s some fun fluff that you can choose from and you can’t buy it all in one go.

You go and do the content of your choice to clock it off. If you play regularly you can ignore the tasks and just play and get enough done in a month. Alternatively you can go ham and clock it off as soon as possible.

It’s tender, not tenders, Clergy is going to have a stroke soon :dracthyr_hehe_animated:

The capes with the hoods and the new 2 shields should have been quest rewards of revamped zones on azeroth for example. I also feel like just putting everything on there seems weird. It’s be better to just make wow free2play, and just create themed seasons with battlepasses, and then put items from previous seasons on the cash shop. It’s what literally every other games does, and it works. Wow is currently an abomination, when it comes to their pay model.

What I would personally prefer the most is a complete removal of the cash shop and raise of sub cost to 30 euro per month, but that’s unrealistic.

There’s still time to change the final Trading Post reward - Community / General Discussion - World of Warcraft Forums (blizzard.com)

One thread about TP from you , could you have not said it there.

All of the above ^^

The first thread isn’t “about” the Trading Post even though it mentions the Trading Post. It’s about the Warden set. The Warden set could have been a reward from any form of content and I would have still been opposed to its existence.

They’re way too mediocre for that imo.

I think that is 100% the case. As same as people get upset that in some games you can buy a cool looking transmog for real money and that “It WaSn’T a HaRd-To-GeT rEwArD”.

I do like the idea. So what makes you right?

Those things already have rewards; and lots of them.
This is extra. And that’s very cool.

Nope, not passively and it’s not 'instead. It’s extra stuff. And the Trading Post has made me do stuff I normally wouldn’t do.
It’s providing a bit of content every month and we’re rewarded with cosmetic rewards.
That’s extremely cool as far as I’m concerned.

No, it’s awesome.

And you can earn the tender doing exactly those things if you want.
So what’s the real issue here for you? Be honest, for once.

It’s not ‘everything’. That’s just pure nonsense, saying that.
The game is full of rewards you earn through all kinds of content.

Hell, I’ve just been doing a boatload of Time Rifts; an activity that gives access to a wide selection of cosmetic rewards. So your claim is simply put; wrong.

On the one hand I agree that having a bit of story here about what these things are and why you get them and having that be somewhat targeted would be cooler, but on the other hand they’ve contained things that was only in the store. They gave the impression that this was the move away from store cosmetics, and I praised it for that because that’s a massive step in the right direction either way.

I don’t mind the trading post. Creating those quests and stories would have been a lot of work even if they were (and they should be) very simple, so this allows them to create A LOT of transmog options very fast.

But if this is just gonna be more store stuff and doesn’t even lessen the pace of store transmogs, well that’s just that.

Can’t really avoid interacting with that system though because you get the rewards literally no matter what you do.

There’s a good chance that we’ll see store stuff in the Trading Post at some point.
So for people who dislike the store; that’s great. They can wait and get it for tender.
I think it’s a win/win.

Well, you have to claim it. You could just not open the chest if you’re opposed to it on principle. I think such a strong conviction requires a strong message, don’t you think?

The trading post is one of the best ideas since m+. I don’t do much world content at all. But I love how you can effectively get tender your own way. Raid, quest, do dungeons it’s all fine! And you can choose your reward so you can even aim for items!

Well done blizzard.

Now buying tenders is another kettle of fish entirely… no thanks. There’s already direct items to buy in the store.

Problem is, the fact if they wanted this to exist it would, the trading post isnt really preventing such content happening.

I am casual player and Im too lazy to farm reputations and do wold quests. Its boring in 2023.

I like this idea, make sense, nothing hard but they could make like (you do activities to get tendies and fill the bar) like it is now and in order to unlock item, you need like specific things to do(nothing hard)

Trading post as it is now it’s good cause it requires a small grind.

No we don’t need to grind our lives into reps pvp m+ etc to get cosmetics some us don’t have the time for this and the skills.

The extra hard grind will bring more boosters to the game and we don’t need that.

It doesn’t matter. We already have so much mounts, sets, tmogs, etc. that I wouldn’t tell the difference between a green dungeon item and giga epic tmog from highest difficulty.

We are already super oversaturated with stuff, I neber chased any mounts, but I already have like 250 or 300 of them, qll of them look cool, etc., but I barelly ever use any of the new ones, and I forget I got one like a day or two later. So I just have all my mounts as favourite, and just summon favourite mount, so maybe sometime I will ser it. For example I can’t remember when the last time I summoned SL S3 or S4 m+ mounts.

I have not read responds but:

“Can you imagine of all those new armors, weapons and mounts were rewards for M+, PvP, raids, achievement hunting, collections, the transmog event, the Brawler’s guild, or anything really?”

Yes, this rewards are for this things. To get this tokens u need to finish: raids, achievments, hunting, quests, dungeons!

Like i do not even get your point.
You want this things for rewards after completing alll this stuff. U need to complete this stuff to get tokens.
