Even without tender being sold on the store, the Trading Post was bad idea

You just love to complain, do you?

Not really. I make positive threads too:

it’s probably the best feature of DF for all players, lol. maybe go outside and focus on your professional career if you want challenging content 24/7

I really like the trading post i have to admit, i think its great that you get rewards just for playing the game and i also like the fact that you have to be wise with how you spend! I really debate buying things some times and i like that :joy:

Looks like someone can’t read.

The monthy featured item is behind the above activities, but for ONCE in this game, the player can choose, instead of being pushed to do content they hate.

It is a game not a job. The cosmetics are a loyalty reward for staying subbed and for everyone not just a few. :woman_shrugging:

Having to earn every… single… item, every… single… month, would become a second job and prevent players from doing the content they enjoy the most.

The forums would have a meltdown about it.

Exactly !

I am in two minds about tender being available in the shop.

It feels like a slippery slope, tempting each month to buy extra to snag an item kind of thing. Although with shop items ‘free’ on the post… :woman_shrugging:

I am more likely to be tempted when mounts and pets are on sale.

I don’t know… I don’t really think that’s a win. The content is ready, they can just release it. We already pay them outrageous sums of money.

That’s a stupid message though. It’s sort of like saying “I don’t like marathons”, running one, and then refusing the recognition.

I don’t like several stupid tax breaks, but you can bet I’ll take advantage of them.

No that’s a faulty analogy.

More accurate would be: Someone rewarding a marathon medal to people for just living their lives and doing all sorts of different stuff.

A marathon is something you sign up for and compete in. The trading post isn’t; if you don’t want to. You just get currency for doing content you already might be doing.

My point is: To profit off of something you despise is hypocritical. People should have more pride than that, imo.

Do you? I pay around 30p a day to be able to play all day every day. How much do you pay?

Trading Post is one of the huge positives in WoW, because it is earned and can be done by casual.

But greedy Blizz just cant help themselves.

Sigh. Not sure what I expected. Game deserves to be trashed.

Has it been removed or something?

Not sure if you are being facetious for the sake of it, but you devalue the point of working towards something when you can just simply swipe swipe swipe.

It really doesnt. The item that you are working towards only holds value in your head.
It has no intrinsic value past the value which you assign to it.
For instance, you having a Gladiator mount has no value to me at all. How can you devalue something that has no external value?

Correct and incorrect, when that value gets monetised then the effort involved to get that becomes devalued.

Why bother grinding and doing the actual content when you can swipe, cut out the middle man, and get the same result.

When you go abroad you take an airplane over walking or a boat, dont you?

Ofc i take a plane. I get seasick on boats and as i am not Jesus i cannot walk on water…
But the point that i am making is that if you like the item in the shop either
A. do the quests to get the currency and buy it or
B. Buy the currency from the shop then buy the item.

Whichever of these you do, has no impact on anyone except you. And therefore has no value to anyone other than you.

But you won’t walk? Wheres the value in not walking?

The option to earn is point where the option to buy exists.

Why waste hours of time for something that be achieved within 5 minutes of a swipe.

Im baffled that people can defend the multiple levels of monetization on display.

The most repeated lie on these forums is that only your own subjective appreciation of things matters.

This is absolutely not how life works.

1 single little pack for 200 tender.
How is that ‘multiple levels of monetization on display’?

In a game; it is.
WoW is NOT real life.

I am baffled by people that think you can walk across an ocean…

I mean if you dont want to pay for it, dont pay for it… it seems like a simple enough concept.
Unless ofc you cannot control yourself and just HAVE to buy it but that seems like a you problem.

Its a pixel in a game and if you value that , its a you problem nothing more. Bigger problems in real ilife to worry about and once you grow up and stop spamming forums with troll posts you might figure that out.
