It’s fun, and it’s not as stressful or as frustrating as people say it is.
You guys should heal. Instant queues are a nice bonus.

Good one
Acceptance is the fifth and final stage of grief outlined by Dr Elisabeth Kubler-Ross in her model about how people process grief.
best joke all year
I’ve been playing on and off since WoD and this is so far the expansion that has kept me around the longest.
I have played a substantial amount of games in all brackets and I’m having a lot of fun.
The only thing I’m grieving for is pre-Legion class design, before the ability pruning, and I’m nowhere near the stage of acceptance.
7 years later, I’m still very much stuck in the “anger” part of the process.
This is a paid ad from a dps player.
As an occasional healer I completely agree. Healing has never been more fun and rewarding, especially since they have added reward box containing one badge which you can exchange for a potion you can only use at random battle ground (whole 5 gold at auction) and an insanely valuable token for 50 conquest points for your alt which you get for playing six arenas.
Can’t breathe
Is this a high quality bait?
I’m not trolling.
Just inspect me and check my amount of games played. I’ve been really invested this season.
You seem dead serious on your thread, so I’ll be dead serious as well.
Let me explain how you reached this conclusion and why many other people disagree.
You play high MMR games with DPS players that know when to use defensives and properly interrupt or disrupt CC attempts on healers, when they can. This leads to clean games that feel healable and you do not get frustrated when ultimately it ends with a kill after a lucky/exceptional go or one healer going OOM.
At the extreme opposite end of the MMR spectrum (think < 1200 MMR), games are also fun to heal because even though DPS players are clowns that have no clue when to use their defensives, they are also so bad they don’t know how to DPS properly on their class + never CC/interrupt and so it’s very easy to heal as a competent healer.
And then, you have the mid MMR, where people don’t know when to use defensive CDs at the correct time BUT they know how to DPS correctly with their class. They also certainly know that CCing enemy healer is important to win (but not protecting their own healer). That gives frustrating matches with unhealable damage.
Fun curve for healers is a U.
Fun at low/high MMR, terrible at mid MMR.
It also doesn’t help the matchmaking treat DPS and healers MMR separately and can throw 1500 MMR healers into 2500 MMR DPS players.
Classes with cheesy win conditions (think Sub rogues and Enhance RNG burst) acts as a frustration multiplier that is the highest at mid MMR (because high MMR players can handle it, and it is irrelevant for low MMR clown matches).
I understand and agree with most of what you’re saying, but you must not forget that healers are often NOT matched with DPS players of their MMR.
Only the enemy healer has strictly the same MMR.
At Duelist MMR, I healed a bunch of 1500 and 1800 CR players this week. So. I’ve been faced with the difficulties you mention. But I still enjoy the game.
Also keep in mind that my thread isn’t about solo shuffle. It’s about healing in PvP in general. I’ve also played quite a few games in 2s and 3s.
I honestly don’t see a lot of differences between Shadowlands and Dragonflight PvP, except we got a bunch of spells and mechanics back, and a new bracket that allows me to play the game in 30 seconds without having to bother with LFG.
I’ve genuinely, unironically, been having a blast as a PvP healer in Dragonflight.
dr elisabeth kubler-rose should have her beaver re-checked
i am starting healer in solo shuffle and i WILL have fun
Healers: Lets try out the new game mode, sounds like a lot of fun!

Genuine question: How to protect my healer as a dps? Do I just attack the dps attacking you? I had sometimes this situation, where enemies focused my healer in the last game, and I just dpsed them, but my healer died afterwards. I don’t really know how to deal with this myself
Depends. When i have Edited by moderation priest or shaman which constantly purging. Its better go these healers. Like stun healer and i can CC dmg and top myself. If u have high enough burst u can CC heal and burst dmg.
So I just do the same and attack enemy healer?
I think healing isn’t fun rn, especially shuffle
What did you put in your tea monk?
I want some too…
Speaking of tea, they’re changing Mana Tea soon, it will be back to its MoP/WoD iteration, which makes me want to play even more.
