Skill issue.
It woulnât fix anything simply because there are not enough tanks and most people want to play a damage dealer, it is basically like applying for jobs these days where you need 10 years of experience minimum and a masters degree to make coffee and the simple reason for those kind of demands simply are because of oversupply and lack of demand
Nothing to do with skill, a ranged CR is objectively better.
Reading issue.
It wouldnât fix the queue time, no. It would however mean more representation for classes that are barely present at 2k+
Of course ranged is better / more optimal. But unless youâre doing super high keys its still totally viable.
Who said theyâre not viable? A party of 3 Shadow Priests is viable. Viable means nothing.
Calling something useless I would consider the same as non viable. Point is CR is right there for everyone to use if they want to.
The role of devs isnât to make things âviableâ, itâs to make things balanced.
If Warsong Gulch gave you 1 billion honor and Arathi Basin gave you 100 honor, AB would still be ââviableââ to gain honor but it wouldnât be balanced.
Do you understand the difference? âViableâ is a meaningless âminimum necessaryâ term. 5 tanks can do an M+, does that mean itâs a good idea? No.
You could get 3 Warriors as your DPS and clear, is that good? No.
Yeah, Shadow Priests and Havocs are viable, but theyâre so BAD compared to the others that almost nobody is picking them.
It was something I was picturing aswell, the real problem being something in the line of queing +8 when having few +2 on record for example and then blaming not being invited on not having rez or lust and making thread about wanting every class to be the same. Failing to use lfg properly or make own groups. His given plenty of advices on this thread by multiple people by now aswell related adapting and recognizing whats in need or in general anything that fall under âadaptingâ in ones situations like example making own group instead, which he labeled as âfotmingâ. My last advice to it would be to look up what fotming stands for but I cant bother further with this.
Every class should have a Felguard though!
That is only partially the issue. The bigger problem Mythic plus is facing is that the current dungeon selection is on the slightly harder side. That combined with the way the playerbase works means that a lot of groups will only go for overqualified players, either high in score or in gear, to maximise their chances of a key succeeding.
About a week ago I decided to try and do a few 2s to try and get myself some score so I can start working my way up the ladder on my mage. I went with Frost as I am not a fan of arcane. The gear on that character is decent enough for that key level (603) but after like half an hour of either being ignored (groups waiting for DPS) or outright declined (solo players in a group) I got invited into one.
That key in question broke because the group could not kill the last boss (Ara kara).
Currently there is an issue that the game does not teach the players properly about how to use their toolkit (interrupts and stuns) or on how to handle boss mechanics. This leads a lot to go for people who are overgeared for the dungeon both to increase their chances of finishing it, and for said players to trade any gear that drops to them. They wonât bring people in level with the dungeon unless they are really desperate as that means a harder dungeon run with lower chances to earn gear.
That said OPâs suggestion isnât going to help his situation. Most people abandonned DH when the gameplay went from easy to execute to built around Momentum which ramped up the mechanical complexity of the class. That and they only have 2 specs, one of which is a tank which the majority arenât interested in.
I think the problem right now is the player mentality: They want to get mythic gear, which means reaching 10s, and since the dungeons are hard for the majority they simply not take their chances with others.
And a Succubus!
Who are we kidding. Everybody should just be a warlock
DH isnât the only DPS spec thatâs almost non existent in high keys, though. Shadow Priest is even lower.
As a fellow DH, I agree with the OP, getting a grp for anything above a +5 is hard enough, but not only is our dmg all over the place, we dont bring anything meaningfull to higher keys. Using your own key is a risk as on wensday I started with a 9 now its down to a 3.
So what am I and other DH ment to do Reroll this early on?
PI, mind soothe, vampiric embrace, mass dispel (tho nerfed lol)
Glad you didnât eat all of them.
In your (laughable) example one awards 10 million times the reward of the other.
In reality DH is a few small percentages lower than meta classes - in other words viable and reasonably balanced. When it gets to 10 million times worse we can say its not viable or balanced.
I donât think you quite get the concept of âviableâ. Is it âviableâ to get 1 billion honour only through AB in your example? No. Can a DH viably do a 10? Yes.
3% compared to Mageâs 15%, Warrior >10% Paladin 8% Shamanâs >10% is not ââ a few percentages lower ââ.
Wouldnât want you to starve, Iâm nice like that.
Dispels lmao, is there even anything to purge apart from the shield on the Mists worms.
I donât think you get the analogy, which is worrying because I used an extreme example, so it shouldâve been obvious. Just because a DH can do a 10 doesnât mean they arenât disadvantaged compared to other classes which is why they get picked far less often.
Is it a real disadvantage or a perceived one though?
At the end of the day youâre begging blizz to make all classes equal (or yours stronger) so you can get into keys easily.
Itâs not going to happen.
The tools to get into keys easier are at your disposal. Make friends / join communities.
Or carry on making salty threads that get you nowhere. Itâs in your hands.
Purge and dispels arenât even the same thing.
A real one, since we have logs that show the meta classes also do more damage. And even if it was a perceived one, low representation means the devs failed at balance.
Uhuh. People said the same thing in 2008 when only a few classes had kicks and now pretty much everyone has them.
Itâs not salty, itâs just data. Shadow Priests and Havocs have a probability 5 times lower than Mages to get to 2K. Thatâs insanely bad for a game that costs 13$ a month.
Itâs as if a champion in League of Legends had a winrate of 10%. Itâs literally unheard of, never happened. I donât think any League champ was ever under 30%. Yet here we are, Mages have 5 times the representation of Shadow and Havoc. And this is M+, where DH is supposed to shine. Single Target DPS is even worse.
Giving DHâs lust or a CR will sure solve that issue then!
It wonât, but itâs a start towards raising that percentage from 3%.
Meanwhile you want them to do nothing which is just goofy.
