I haven’t tried it so I’m just gonna throw something out and see if someone with knowledge of Cata’s problems know of a bug for it:

Dont worry boys. If the expected declaining population hasnt done the job yet, add Cataclysm-release and summer on-top of Blizzard forcing players into 40 man and you’ll have a dead game within months.
100% they will join Phase 4 Classic SoD after the first weeks of Cata … and generally, they will not go back to Cata because Cata sucks. It’s the beginning of the End.
You are better off playing retail because at least there they fixed most of their mistakes.

Cata sucks wont last long, those folk that like to dress as furry animals IRL might play the panda one after it
if classic team still exists after cata, they might just throw the towel in after cata and sod as it’s too much hassle andjust make more plunderstorm type game content

I give Cata about a week before people realize they’re playing a version of WoW with goldbuying, paid boosts, GDKPs, the WoW-Token, an even more overinflated economy than SoD, non-faction-balanced PvP servers and tons & tons of gamebreaking bugs.

I’m fond off Cataclysm because it is the expansion I started, but man am I bummed out on how much old world content it removed and the quests it replaced has terrible writing.
I think I’ll play it up to Firelands. Probably drop it 2 weeks into Dragon Soul. Don’t think I will play Mists of Pandiarrhea.
Its obvious now Blizzard doesn’t believe in Classic+, for them classic is just nostalgia, and if we want actual new stuff we should play retail, pretty sad
and what people can do in this cata prepatch? setting new awful talents and walking around new orgrimer made me bored after 20 minutes. no way i will even try to exp alt in failed azzeroth. i came back to sod again and exp alt here
I wouldn’t be so sure. The conent phases are quick, so no stagnation, and at least the first 3 phases in Cata were great.
I honestly think Cata will do better than most people give it credit for.
I stopped wotlk a few month ago so I’m farming the latest pvp set and leveling professions.
There’s archeology that looks fun too, I’ll do that after main profs are up.
Familiarising myself with new talents, etc. There’s enough I reckon to keep me busy for a couple of weeks.
Some people will leave for cata and some of them will return for phase 4.
People constantly comig and going in WOW.
On my server i don’t feel any massiv player drop at least on wild growth alince side.
Blizzard belives in Classic+ otherwise they wouldn’t do this project, unfortunately as any company they are testing to see what can they make with minimal human resources and that leaves a bad taste for the players.
Dude go to Cata. We will see how fast you will come back to SoD 
same for the others .Like what do you expert? Some thing new ?Theres nothing interesting first raids will go Down if few hours and people will get bored. Phase 4 of SoD is what were All w8 for!!
Wheres the difference to SOD? The Raids are for granddads as well and if, by chance, the difficulty becomes too great people go to cry on the forum.

Maybe they have been keeping all the good stuff for P4+ and have tons of content for us
To spam incursions till 60 and again log in once a week to raid? No I am good at least in cata you have a gearing progression

I mean. I went to Cata. Looked at the talents and the glyph system and thought “hell no”. Not playing that nonsense. I’m gonna uninstall it. /mourn classic wow toons - but c’est la vie.
