It’s really unfortunate. Evoker is by far one of the most unique classes and thematically one of the coolest. One of the most innovative healing specs, and one of the most satisfying DPS specs, is locked behind the fact you have to play as an abomination.
Is it worth the trade off? No. Will Evoker die after DF if it isn’t given to more races? Absolutely.
Lore hasn’t mattered since SL, please just let more races be Evoker.
How is that going to work, how are we explaining a human, orc or elf breathing fire, ice beams and hovering?
Explain a glowing Draenei stealthing around? Or a Tauren?

However I think flying orcs with wings breathing dragon attacks is quite another…
Hover is a Dracthyr ability, not an Evoker ability.
Yes, an Orc could breathe fire. Why? Because it’s cool. Evoking the power of the Aspects isn’t restricted to having wings.
Imagine if they added tinkers but only mechagnomes could be them…Heh.

You’re going to need more than the rule of cool to sell this in your pitch. I’m all for it if it can be reasonably explained - Blizzard will be all for it if it can even be half explained.

So people are playing orcs, Trolls, vulperas and another horrid races, but Dracthyrs are the abominación???

Any chance soon of Core Playable Races, like Vrykul, Ogre, Furbolg, Saberon, Tuskarr, Arrakoa, and All Classes for All Races? It’s been 19 years now, since WoW came out, I’m 44 now, do I have to wait till I die, for you people at Blizzard start caring for us, your customers, who pay a subscription for WoW, and buy stuff from the gameshop as well? Besides deleting my other posts about russians, are we a joke to you, all you do is take our money, and give us nothing in return, except an woke game, stutters, massive fps drops, and almost daily long maintenances that solve nothing at all?

Evoker class Is literally the dracthyr elite soldiers using the Power of the aspects to fight, how could any other race that has no wings or other features the dracthyr have, be an evoker?
The only way to “give It to other races” withouth It making no sense Is to give more visage races to them.

Rogue class in lore Is many things tbh. Pirates, scouts etc.
In argus there were draenei Rangers, rogue night have bene added with the excuse of “They are melee Rangers”. As for taurens, stealth Is using even with a Little of Shadow magic to Hide you, but the ability itself Is not necessarie used in lore.
There are taurens pirates, and the most pirate class in the game Is outlaw rogue (abilityes etc)
and those trinkets could one shot people in pvp…once per day (even in arenas)
we would see an increase of 10% of total mechagnome population from 0.5% to 0.55% loll

The only things i dont like about dracthyr
1: the wings are in the way. Wish there’d be an option to turn them invisible kinda like demon hunter wings.
2: cant pick a race for your visage.
3: the visage has hideous scale marks in the head.

Evoker is the first class I haven’t tried in an expansion bringing a new class. Back then, death knights were awesome. Monks made a big difference. Demon hunters weren’t my thing (too mobile/ ezmode). Evokers just don’t attract me, it primarily has to do with all the LGBT stuff with the gender 1 and gender 2 bs. I just sticked to my regular classes (druid healer, pala tank, monk tank, bm hunter) and got those to 70/ m+/ raiding.
Maybe some day I’ll create an evoker, probably not.
My feelings too. In the beginning of the expansion when everyone played Dracthyr, all you could see on screen were wings…
However without wings they’d just look like lizards. Maybe appeal more to Horde players who like to play ugly toons.
I mean, they added Demon Hunters restricted to 2 races, and Evokers restricted to 1.
If Tinker is the next hero class, it wouldn’t surprise me one bit if it was restricted to gnomes, mecha-gnomes, goblins and forsaken.
I think it’s really quite simple. If Visage form was abandonned and you were able to create your Evoker visage as being representative of any of the races, that’d be one way to open up the Evokers to more animations whilst still maintaining them as lizard wizards.
I hope Blizzard won’t listen to people with gazillion alts and their attempts to force an entire playerbase to fight against humanoid evokers with nonsensical animation
No, but if they extend the class to other races Dracthyr would.
Blizz isn’t going to destroy it’s poster race of it’s current dragon themed expansion.
