I know Evoker has been parsed with good gear and excellent players and raids and it brings nice buff to everyone elses dps, but is it same with 5 man party?
So far ive seen Evokers dps drop more than 70%, but they barely buff total damage like 20%… Is the tradeoff worth it?
I love being support class, but if it actually makes the class both not dps enough AND not buff enough, its not fun at all.
Anyone has same or different experiences about it in parties? (Not raids)
Their not. But they are calculating the dps the meters are susposed to. Think people are in for a shock when they do get the dps meters working properly.
It is overpowered. As expected blizzard always tend to ensure reworks / new speccs are overpowered at their launches.
Wcl misses ignite, execution sentence, touch of the magi, and some pets, but is otherwise correct. There’s enough there that you can actually build a decent inference of the rest of what’s going on. At least way more than the 40k the guys doing on your details meter can.
So if the evoker is at 131 the other dps damage is from them only.
And again is a bit misleading, given the dps shown on the evoker is not cause omg 430 aug do 130k. But because the aug is buffing really good players that maximize the buff given to them.
It is a really hit or miss spec. Mediocre group will feel even worse cause bad dps will not capitalize on buffs or die. Effectively feel like you sre playing as 4 even if the fault is not on the aug.
The biggest thing is chrono shield breath of eons.
You can do a big lusted trash pull containing half the dungeon and all the damage you do builds a constantly refreshing shield that basically makes the party immortal.
That and the amount of near passive DR augvoker provides with it’s mastery means it takes an extra 2 key levels for something to kill you.
Yeah, this is what i mean. I dont mind the dps loss on me (even many dont understand the support meaning), but if its not buffing MORE than party lose on my lack of DPS, its not good.
But ive been playing only leveling groups and HC dungeons (in LFR raid it was ok) and it feels it just doesnt buff others enough.
It does but is totally on the party to capitalize on it.
Trash player will struggle cause they need a 3rd to carry them, and you cant do that. The biggest chuck of your dps, Ebon Might, Shifting Sand, BoE and Pres are all as good as those getting them.
It’s been out a day (half of which we couldn’t even log in) so I think the only reasonable answer to this question is “Too soon to say”.
Players need to learn how to play on their Evoker.
Players need to learn how to play with an Evoker.
To be fair, most of the players are clueless what Augmentation is
WoW not really had a class like this before, other games? Sure. But WoW always was Tank-DPS-Healer trinity
The concept of such a niche support class is alien most of the players
Their logic is simple: you queued as a DPS? Then do damage
I’m not saying this is okay but I can understand it, since there isn’t a “support” 4th role
That is fair, the problem is the attitude.I had guildmates send me screeshots of people calling them noob, etc… and leaving despite 4 people were like “he is playing Aug”.
And the reply was “sorry i leave”.
Mental inability to admit you don’t know what you are talking about.
