Evoker Augmentation is bad?

442 in aug 445 in Devo still got some upgrades I can make. Using a 418 ring

True but when u stack up how many came out OP compared, its a staggering high

People are so addicted - sorry no better word for it - to add-ons, and meters, they baically lost in the numbers and fact and statistics they consider something holy
As Robo said, WoW log are not 100% accurate, but still gives a way better picture about the situation
Instead people treat their addons and such data as the word of God Almighty itself, and may it have mercy on your soul, if you don’t agree with it

Pretty much.

Anyone not taking a aug evoker is ridiculous :joy::joy: ur basically at this point doing ur dungeon on hardmode comparitively.

The specc is overpowered. Yet becsuse a dps meter is missing parts of the damage profile out. People think its bad :joy::joy:.

Aug has a lot more buffs besides damage

Bring the Augmentation, not the player.

Easy fix tbh, Details or Recount should add the damage from buffs to the Evoker, not the class getting the buffs.

It’s like others have said, people only look at dps meters and yell. “You’re a dps, you should do big damage”. Yeah that’s not what this is.

I’d like disc priest to evolve into this role, or more shielding like in wrath. this iteration of disc is terrible, but I digress.

It’s not all that different from a tank or a healer. Yes, damage is what kills the pull, but the tank and the healer [primarily] keep the pull from killing the damage dealers first. The stronger those two are, the larger the pull can be. In other words, tanks and healers focus on facilitating damage rather than dealing it directly, just like Simpragosa.

The API is missing support for this so Details has to guesstimate. There is a setting to make it at least do that, but it’s not enabled by default. :man_shrugging:

Nah, it’s on par with Shadow priests and mages currently and is far superior for m+ than any melee dps currently.

It’s super strong. It’s just like any other spec, if you’re good, you’ll perform well (granted you’re reliant on the DPS also pulling their weight)

I’m slightly worried that they may overnerf the spec tbh, because when played well it seems to seriously slap. The combination of damage it brings, and the extra survivability from offhealing and Blistering Scales seems very potent.

What I do hope they fix with damage meters is showing up the true damage Augmentation is providing to parties though. For the average Joe who uses meters as the only measurement of performance, it can cause people to think Augmentation is underperforming, when their damage is just baked into the other DPS.

Unfortunately, only experienced players can answer that. but when I look at the top list… then it speaks for itself.
and i love to play holy paladins. and its performance is very good at the moment.

I don’t even want to know who is responsible for balance. I want to sleep peacefully without nightmares!

That’s not an easy fix though, and that’s kinda why we got to where we were. Bliz said that was their initial goal and then they 180d when they saw it wasn’t possible to finish.

bobby and the stockholders.

they keep things unbalanced on purpose in order to sell more boosts.

Is EXACTLY as blizz do the new classes. Broken OP

Most fun healing spec you mean

It has a sword icon next to it so you better shape up and top the meters.

In all honesty im in stitches at this end.
A guildy has shown me screenshots of comments made in party chat during M+ runs, and its clear as day people dont know how evoker works.

Firstly any dps meter in game does not accurately show an augmentation evokers dps. You need to record logs and go to warcraft logs for that. And in our groups, an Aug evoker has made a a massively noticeable difference.

Its weird to describe.

Honestly WCL isn’t even accurate because blizzard either didn’t make or incorrectly implemented the spell data hooks for like half the classes.

No it isnt, but it is a lot more accurate than the likes of details or recount etc.

Yeah, but when you’re looking at augs in M+ with fire mage and SP then you realise that Augs contribution from both ignite and psychic link isn’t separated at all…
