Finally got to Exalted with Stormpike Forces and I can GTFO of this pathetic excuse for a BG…Worst and most biased level design that I have seen in all my 16 years of gaming in MMO’s. Good, motherf***ing, riddance.

Out of interest, why did you grind to exalted with this particular battleground? A genuine question 
Because this is my 4th alt and I decided to PvP a little. So, I went for Don Julio’s band. And yes I know that there are a gazillion better rings in Raid X or Y or Z or whatever, but I don’t and won’t raid with this character. If I did, there would be no reason to PvP as I would have gotten better gear anyway.

I am not going anywhere close to WSG. It’s the second worst BG after AV. AB is in much better shape. At least the games in there are not all-out stomps. Allies still lose, because of Horde bias, but not as bad as AV. Nothing is as bad as AV. I went to exalted with 1!!! (yes, ONE), win. I already have 30 times that in AB.

What if I told you that the result you see in Classic is unique for Classic, but it’s the same map, and this same map have given very different results both in Vanilla retail and all private servers. Only one thing is new in Classic, and that’s the queue system on one mega battlegroup cross realm.
People always focus on the wrong things in AV. They blame a static map or a static system when in fact it’s the custom cross realm battlegroup and custom queue system that is to blame.

What if I told you that you were wrong, and both in Classic AND Vanilla, it was the same crap, exactly because there is nothing new in Classic?
If you think that the less-than-1% wins of Alliance in AV is due to cross-realm queue-ing, then you are sorely mistaken. You see a result and correlate it with the most pointless observation.
Many people in Youtube have made my point for me, about how biased the level design of AV is, towards Horde.

Sounds almost like somebody is forcing you to play.
You are doing a BG (one out of 3, or 2 rather since you say you won’t play WSG) to improve 1 item slot out of 16 or something, since you dont want to raid as it would render the PvP useless. So a AV Exalted grind (that you clearly didnt enjoy) for a ring to use while guarding Gold Mine.
With that said I can only imagine how the rest of the gear looks like and how much you contribute to victories… on one of the most gear depended classes ^^
Think about that one more time dude, do you SERIOULSY think some DETAILS in a map can make one side lose 99% of all games, and suddenly, when the rewards change on the AV weekend, they start losing less, on the same map, and they used to win more than 50%, one the same map, when the queue system was different, on the same map. And on all private servers the result was never this unbalanced, on the same map. And you think it’s the map?

If you are at an ilevel where Don Julio’s is an upgrade, you are going to be near completely useless in BG’s anyway - atm many naxx geared classes are able to output 3k damage in one GCD, so you will probably be a complete burden to any AB/WSG team you queue into.

There are only 2 things that contribute greatly to hampering your team:
- Going in naked
- Having a slow mount at Lvl 60
In all the BG’s that I have done (WSG included) I found numerous Hordies with less gear than what I have. Especially in AV the people under 60 where the norm and I could easily 2-shot them. On average, both teams have well-geared players, under-geared players and under-60 players in AV. What I did, since I don’t raid, is I made sure that I craft an Arcanite Reaper for me and get a fast mount the moment I hit 60. It is enough. Assuming that people need to be Naxx geared to go in a BG is missing the point and being blinded to the reality of the situation.

I haven’t ansked any questions. I have made the claim that the same map cant suddenly give EXTREMELY different results when ONLY the queue system have been changed. That’s IMPOSSIBLE. It CANT be a static map that is the main reason, it MUST be something that have actually changed.
The result in Classic is UNIQUE for Classic on the same map but with a unique queue system.
Literally no one believe that the map makes Horde win 99% of the games. Not even you. The highest I have ever seen someone claim is 60/40 around that. So the MAIN reason is not the map and NO ONE believes that. They just don’t understand that they don’t.
If Horde have the advantage in AV its no where near 99% based on the map. So the MAIN reason literally can’t be the map.
And even if it actually was the map, and its not, it’s pointless to talk about the map, because the map is authentic and is not being exploited in any way, except by Alliance afk leechers.
Arguing over minute details of what is the “main” reason is pretty pointless. The bottom line is that most people agree that the map is Horde favoured. Also calling it “authentic” is technically correct but only if we’re talking about the Naxx patch onwards. Until recently we’ve been playing on the Naxx patch AV map pre Naxx patch which can hardly be called “authentic”. Not to even mention the way the queue was changed to prevent premades despite the fact premades being possible was 100% Vanilla like. Apparently things being “authentic” or not isn’t really part of the discussion when considering changes.

Correcting someone who is falsely blaming the map for all their losses is hardly a minute detail.
If you have 2 random and generally equal and motivated teams with general the same mix of pve and pvp players entering AV with the main goal to win and players not comparing honor/rep based on time or WSG/AB efficiency for ranking or pve gear, but to win Alterac valley as the main goal, no matter how long it takes. How often do you think Alliance would win AV?
Also answer this question. Do you think the majority of all Horde players would consider it a win to win after 2h with a 2h queue? Do you think the majority of all Alliance would consider a 2h win after 2min queue, a win?
I remember for sure NOT winning 99% back in vanilla. What do you mean it was the same? lol
