What would be the best/fastest way to get exalted with Darnassus? I want badly the nelf mount 
I’m not sure if gnomes can ride it. There are restrictions
Complete all the Night Elf starting zone quests while still within their level range, or the reputation is nerfed while completing them later.
Once you’re done with any Darnassus rep quests you can manage, just turn in a bunch of Runecloth at Darnassus Tailoring area.
Fastest is to donate cloth if you already have it (there’s a quest giver near the tailoring trainers in every city). The last repeatable step is runecloth so prepare your wallet.
You can also do Night Elf quests in the meantime.
They can, no problem there.
Doing this myself as human because of 10% extra rep gains
Starting your adventures in Teldrassil and doing all Night Elf quests through Darkshore, Ashenvale, Stonetalon Mountains, Desolace, Feralas, etc at thr appropriate level, i.e. the quest is yellow and not green or grey, is the fastest way to gain exhalted. Even theb you will likely be about 1/3 the way through revered and will have to hand in cloth for the rest. There is plenty guides out there. It will take a lot of time.
The only restriction on ally side is that humans and elf’s can’t ride the mechano strider.

Ideally is to start there at level 1 and then go through nelf starter area and then go through darkshore into ashenvale and then w/e rep your missing you can then do cloth turn ins at the quartermaster. Otherwise you just doing even more cloth turn ins.
