so can we have the spell that actually makes sense for paladins back instead of the "I somehow summon some big ugly sword from the underground and encase my foe with it for 1/4 of a second" ability

I noticed what blizzard does in BfA, they bring back most of the old abilities, but all of them are useless, like shadow bolt, or hammer of wrath etc. I don't even wanna suggest anything, when all of these abilities were in the game they were actually useful, unlike the way they are presented in BfA.
Exorcism is 100% a priest skill. You know like the billion exorcism films, which priests do.

I agree.
blade of justice and crusader strike( zeal) hits a rogue with cloak , a warrior/lock with reflect ,dk with anti magic shell,they are not effected by grounding totem and they do not getting locked if you get silenced by a priest-balance or interrupted on flash of light.
blade of justice can hit through evasion.cloak of shadows , die by the sword and other dodge/parry/block abilities.
exorcism can be reflected, cannot hit a rogue with cloak of shadows or a dk with anti magic shell ,you cannot cast it if you are silenced or interrupted , it goes straight on grounding totem and it can be reflected back .
guess which one is better now , OFC blade of justice
we dont need a spell as holy power generator to replace one of those 2 .
blade of justice is PERFECT atm as a 2 holy power generator ***AND CAN ONLY BE STOPPED BY ONE SKILL (disarm)****
why you ask to replace this perfect mellee hit that cant be stopped? Just for visual ?
holy power generator is the most important skill especially in burst .

Jesus christ it has nothing to do with what the spell actually does, the whole idea of removing one spell and then replacing it with something similar in the first place was just stupid, what they SHOULD have done is just alter the spell effect of exorcism leaving the name, visual and sound effects and range the same. Problem solved. But no they completely removed it to replace it by something that is used in exactly the same way as exorcism was. absolutely pointless! Not only that they are removing something we had from the dawn of time for no good reason.

The melee attack is alot better and the sword visual is really cool.

i know what exorcism is but in world of warcraft demons and spirits have corporeality . You see and attack them directly, also when someone is possessed by demonic and dark powers in game it got demon type. Like an Eredar for example which is a demon type npc.
