Eye Beam's Haste being applied at the end of a cast is bad design

This is mostly a PvP issue, but Furious Gaze/Eye Beam’s haste being applied when the cast ends is stupid because of the myriad of interrupts that exist in PvP. What else are you going to kick against a DH? Not like you can fake cast it either.

It’s basically a useless upgrade in PvP that adds nothing. People weren’t even using this in BFA PvP because of how easy to avoid it is.

The 15% haste for 12 seconds should be changed to 15% haste for 14 seconds and be applied at the start of Eye Beam.

Use it after Vengeful Retreat or in a Stun.

Or we could stop pretending that a melee class having its nuke as a channelled castable isn’t dumb design.

Why can’t Monk Fists of Fury be kicked?

Its still CCable and doesnt deal that quickly damage compared to Eye Beam.

Eye Beam is the superior faster burst but Fists of Fury deals more damage overall.

Fists of Fury also gives them 100% parry and the clones do it, too.

A kick is far less valuable than CC. Especially when it’s the only thing a DH can cast.

You complain far too much about things that are not relevant. Theres not one reason to not use Glaive Tempest and Eye Beam inside a stun.

If you are interrupted while channeling Eye Beam, your inner demon immediately explodes. Inflicting 150% of Attack Power damage to you and 500% of Attack Power damage divided evenly amongst all targets around you.

There is, you want to use the stun for something else. Our stun is also pretty much our only peel. I shouldn’t have to use it to get a haste buff.

You have two and one is on an extremely short CD that lines up with Eye Beam.

Its really easy to get it through against all melees apart enemy DHs so theres no big complains from my side here. Never annoyed me and gives counterplay.

But how would we prevent you from gaining haste by using your normal rotation if even when kicked you get it ?

If you want to peel your healer you have to use Eruption since CN can be dispelled or cloaked.

Furthermore, the stun’s far better used to set up switches or kills than for eye beam dmg.

Pressing kick on a spell that can’t be fake cast is not counterplay.

Can I prevent your spells from upgrading at lvl 58 ? Cause that’s essentially what kick does.

Why would you get the haste if you don’t manage to not get kicked ?

Because getting interrupted is ridiculously easy.

Getting haste by doing your pve rotation is even more easy

You don’t get the haste proc unless you succesfully finish the channel, thats like the whole point of this topic…

I know, you don’t deserve the bonus stat if you don’t pull the entire cast off. That’s how it should be, so Idk why are people asking for bonus stat even tho they don’t manage to get the cast off

Why, because someone hit kick on our only cast? Because that takes so much skill, right?

It really shouldn’t, what’s the point of a spell upgrade if it does nothing?

Having the spell upgraded for pve maybe ? The way I see it it’s a bonus that you get or not depending on how bad your opponent is.

As ret if your opponent is dumb enough to be in melee range when your SoV breaks, you are rewarded with a big hit (30% of your health to the ennemy).

As outlaw if your opponent is dumb enough to keep hitting you in melee while Evasion is up you are rewarded with a few procs of mastery (dmg + Energy regen).

As havoc if your opponent is dumb enough to not kick your Eye Beam you are rewarded with a free haste bonus.

Then why does Fury get same 15% Haste for free from just Enrage that doesn’t have any cast/cd condition?
What a ridiculous argument lol

Because fury apparently might be in need of high haste to function properly ?

Because Blizzard wants fury to have a smashy-zerg feeling to it and the bonus haste does exactly that ?

I don’t’ really see your point and I don’t know why fury « needs » the haste, to me it’s all about feeling and the haste make fury feel like a relentless warrior ?
