Why isn’t there a softcap on the amount of horde/ally that can be made on a PvP server?
As in, if there are 150k Horde and 25k Alliance on a PvP server why not just say ‘‘NO’’ to people trying to make a Horde character on that realm, Classic is looking just like retail, where 99% of the playerbase is Horde and Alliance only play on PvE servers completely dumbing down the PvP server experience to one faction being so dominant the other just spam dungeons.
There is no point in fighting back when you’re outmanned 25:1 in every single contested zone in the entire game
This. Cannot believe people are complaining about only seeing one fraction. When i was questing in felwood all i met were alliance. Not one horde player other than myself. (layer - not complaining, could have hopped if i wanted to)
Even if realms all seems fairly balanced right now, who knows how it will look when layering is removed. Blizz should still set a soft cap, just in case it starts to skew out of balance.
Woahh!! thanks!!! Been uploading data to warcraftrealms since the creation of Census+, and was so sad when the web became abandoned… thanks for replacement. Also, would be nice to advice its creator to make d3.js visualization, or using PowerBI freemium. As would be perfect to have filters and advanced analytics
The easiest way to balance server population would be to allow for paid faction change, with the price ratio of Alliance to Horde : Horde to Alliance being such that it controls the demand to balance the population.
But I live in the logical world. Don’t listen to me.
I play horde, not because i wanna play where more people play, i just wanna my shammy, now imagine they lock it, and after 2months some of ky friends wanna join, do i have to reroll because of that? Its stupid to lock… Thers probably no cure for healthy balabce other than natural, just let people play, it will somehow work… A lot of people go play horde cuz thats what most play on retail, they will drop off and it will be better…
