Please, when will the faction change come, could you put it into the game, I would like to play with my friends, thank you

At first it was not meant to be part of Wotlk Classic, but I saw that Blizzard recently changed narration to “maybe”. So we can expect it within 3 months… but that’s not confirmed.
As per one of kind of fresh articles in the web:
After much deliberation from Blizzard’s side, both Faction changes and Race changes will be available for [WoW Classic WotLK]. However, it won’t be doable during the expansion’s initial release.
On US forum there was the same question asked, and some player received actual answer of that being a thing, but also without any exact date.
If I had to guess I would also say something along the lines of ~3 months.
They will wait until people have used up their expensive boosts to play with their friends, and then once boost sales have died they roll out the faction change to the store in order to make some more money.

Blizzard said that transfers and such would not be possible on fresh servers for 90 days.
I’m guessing they will enable faction/race changes when that time window is up, rather than go through the hassle of enabling it only on a few servers.
Also from what I remember, it won’t be a separate service. Race change will function as faction change if you pick a race of the opposing faction.

Blizzard confirmed they don’t plan to add any new services to the game, which includes faction change.
i actually wanna go alliance on my rogue on launch, i mean… why am i forced to play horde in the meantime? i wanna be alliance on launch and play with my guildies, i dont wanna pay a boost for a class i already have so many things accomplished on it? it just doesnt make any sense not one bit, it’s a simple 1MB quick patch for them to make, like come on… it’s hard for me to even level up to 80 on a faction i can barely stand…

They have the functionality already there but still don’t implement it, strange. Probably waiting to see how this quarter does before they use this as a life line to pump the numbers.
Why didn’t you start your character on the same faction as your friends?

A little odd why you would start a character on a different faction to your guildies, especially when you can’t stand that faction. Strange.

I have the issue where I’m stuck on the server (from server merging and the like) where I am suppost to be, but I am ally while my friends are horde. Most of my characters were on Ten Storms, which has since been deleted. Problem is, the server is Gehennas, and the queue there is enormous as well as the fact that there are only about 50 alliance players on the entire server, to 18k hordes. So I can’t really do anything. I can’t do dungeons because there are no crossplay with RDF, and I can’t really quest because I get gaped by max level hordes hitting me from the skies with afterburners on.
My plan was to free migrate to a server that has atleast people enough to do a dungeon or an elite quest, and then switch back when faction change comes. Problem is… The server is locked. So that’s a no-go.
Come to think about it, I should have used the boost to get another shaman but one that was horde (so much for their “emotional ties to your character”), but I had already used it on another class since, hey, I thought faction change would come sooner.
Safe to say, if this is going to take 3 months, I’m probably going to lay off the game entirely.

And they changing their mind as fast as they announced it, stating it may come later. The truth is they just promoting lvl 70 boosts and when theese will be sold out to every possible customer faction change will enter the shop.
False. there is a blue post making clear that faction change will be in shop soon. your comment is misleading

@dimebog1 No, the additional changes in the barber shop are the ability to change your face and gender for in-game gold, rather than as a paid out-of-game service. Race and Faction change are not planned for Wrath of the Lich King Classic.
What is your source, because I have not seen any blues counter this - yet.
How are they your guildies when you’re different factions?
Maybe you should have thought of that before rolling the enemy faction and leveling and developing a character to the point where you don’t want to reroll like everyone else.

i made an alt on alliance, y’know? an alt? and people change their minds while playing on their current faction, i mean why are you even telling people to think before rolling on enemy factions? how is that even a thought? people test a faction, they dislike it, they leave, are you aware of that or do you pick something and never change your thoughts afterwards? what?
i rolled horde for my rl friend back in gandling, then they deleted gandling and he went to gehennas for his guildies, he only went there to that guild and little did we know is that server is all horde and stay hours on queue to log in it, so i made an alt alliance on mograine and found a cool guild there and wanted to bring my horde rogue there as an alliance, so yah xD

Something tells me when the 90 days are over it’s gonna be a mess. Faction changes, transfers…here mono-faction servers come again.
