I would like to faction change and server transfer the character I have been playing most since Vanilla. I have most reps exalted on her and am wondering if some of them like the bfa ones will reset to 0 if I faction change?

They will swap over but you have to do certain quests again, as far as I have read other people who have faction-changed.

I did faction changes to unlock all allied race
It doesnât reset BFA reps. It is transfers them across to the other factions alternative for the faction and remains with the same progress.
Donât know about prior expansions reps. But I know itâs the case in BFA

What about wod garrison? Does this transfer over or do you need to do it again?
Also I am revered with mechagnomes if I change to Horde and continue the rep there and hit exalted can I do the mechagnome unlock quest on an alt or does it need to be on the one that has the exalted rep?
The only rep that will/might reset is the Sunreaver/Silver Covenant reputation, but those are easy to grind back (just do Wrath dungeons, every mob and boss will grant rep).
Other than that, no, nothing will be reset. In fact, you get to do all alliance or Horde zones, and gain more rep for the BFA stuff that might actually get you 1-2 Paragon boxes.
Will switch over.
You only need the rep and achievement done, you donât need it on an alliance. You can just use an alliance to unlock the race.

Bugfree? I remember faction changing before and I had a bug that made it unable to finish Vashjâir
Yes, bugfree. Iâve faction changed more than I should have over my 10 years of playing. xD
With the Vashjâir thing, you mightâve needed to do the Horde/Alliance intro first? Canât say I faced it, but then again I never touch Vashjâir.

Not sure what caused it back then a gm moved me along from quest to quest because I wasnât able to complete them the hubs werenât showing up iirc
The only thing that resets is most of your quest progress so if you ever were gloating that you donât have yellow quests then~ have fun farming those again. I am also pretty sure you will lose some flightpaths (even if you will return to Horde)
It is your game, You decide what you do.
However, i highly reccomend against it.It will never feel the same, it will be messy and alot of times, most times people will simply transfer back to their original faction

Unfortunantly you will have to re-do the war campaign yes 
and the zone campaigns.
But if the quest markers donât bug you no worries, if they do it goes pretty fast with flying and being max level nowadays.

Same here, when the discount was up I made my last character Horde even though I had no intention of playing him yet but I found myself doing the stupid Zuldazar story for the 20th time just to get rid of the pesky quest markers in the city.
Ah well atleast itâs pretty fast if youâre geared a bit!
I would appreciate if you would simply stop writing such postings. People, like you, are the fuel which lead to a cross-faction system. Nobody cares how âproudâ you are about your faction, it will have consequences and the first signs have been visible for months now.
Funâs over in this regard. I know, it sounds absolute stupid but it is as it is.
There have been a few issues with faction changing⌠this wonât be an issue if you havenât unlocked the latest corruption content though on that character.
