Faction Reputation Tabards not working in dungeons

I reported this a couple of months ago via in-game bug report but posting here also in the hope that others can confirm that they’re experiencing the same issues.

The faction reputation tabards (such as ‘Silvermoon City Tabard’) do not appear to be working in Shadowlands dungeons. I’ve been trying to earn rep to progress from Revered to Exalted (to then unlock faction armor appearances) but no rep appears to be getting earned.

Hope this can be resolved soon.

It´s not a bug, it´s so people don´t buy all the rep tabards and get exalted with all the old factions while just playing the new expansion stuff. While lvling it´s possible due to tabards to get exalted with 3/4 factions if you lvl purely through dungeons. They don´t want you to get another 20 exalted factions just by doing current content.

The main city factions used to work across expansions…it was only expansion factions (such as Cataclysm, etc.) that had restrictions.

If it doesn’t work like you mentioned, here are 2 tips for you how to make it:

1. It works in Timewalking - I just did this previous TW for Blood elf heritage armor. I also need the Infinite timereaver, so it was basically killing 2 birds with 1 stone.
2. Farm Mechanar / Botanica in TBC. I believe every clear gives 4-5k rep, and it takes maybe 6-7 min per run. So in 4, max 5 runs you will be exalted.
