what i dont understand, really, is why do you apply different logic to alliance and the horde.
if your commanding officer uses his rank to fullfill his racist inclinations and try to kill you, you are saying, thats enough to want to kill all humans.
but if an alien nation (orcs) invades and burns your kingdom, that is not enough to want to kill all orcs, in fact, you are ok to ally with them and help kill humans.
And dont get me started on trolls
Do you see, how there is a contradiction here?
i am saying, that i too dislike garrosh, because without sylvanas tactics horde would have no man power or not enough, but he accused her anyway.
The elves didnât go âyeah letâs murder humansâ after garritos or have you seen any attacks on human settlements?
They started to hate humans and wanted nothing to do with them.
Yes orcs and trolls once also where the enemy of the elves but these orcs didnât do anything to the elves.
Plus sylvanas who even after her death has a strong reputation amongst the elves came to offer aid.
On that day the elves learned that not all undeads are evil. After all sylvanas now is undead and her undead troops did all the could to help the elves.
And that very same sylvanas then offered a place in a group that helps each other.
And yes there are trolls and orcs in there but sylvanas gave her word they are good people and after learning undeads can be good why not also give orcs a bit of trust?
That being in the horde meant to also kill humans was an Oke thing after all they still hated them cause they didnât came and Offert help
There was an attack on human settlement in outland, but i think it is confirmed to be legion manipulating kael? so i dont know, if its relevant to the conversation.
However, i dont know about human attacks on elves settlements?
But both orcs and trolls did burn elf settlements.
Well, my understanding was that orcs attacked Silvermoon and some other cities, then were captured, then were freed and then Thrall formed the horde from them? So the horde is literally formed from orcs, part of which participated in burning Quel Thalas.
Another question, why do the darkspear trolls in War 3 always say âZuljin would be proudâ
Like how is it supposed to work, does a darkspear troll say to a blood elf âZuljin would be proudâ and then the elf says âTy brotherâ?
True
I understand hate for humans. I just dont understand, how hate for humans is supposed to be bigger, than hate for trolls and orcs, who literally killed elvish civilians, i just dont get it. If you can, please explain, because i dont understand
But thanks to sylvanas they jumped over there shadow and acceptd that those orc and trolls are different now.
I imagine forgiven orcs and trolls was easier then forgiving undeads.
After thrall taking over many things changed in the horde after all.
And when the trolls came into the horde they had to change too. The very first thing thrall outlawed was cannibalism for example.
And they probably could have forgiven the humans too and joined there ranks the horde was just faster
There is no way befs find this arrangement palatable and in fact there is evidence the political elite is forcing them into it.
What blizzard should have done is come up with some political scheme explanation
Like the regent and Sylvanas came up with some kind of under the table deal, and the regent is now forcing befs into horde army for some extreme territorial and/or power gain and using some kind of night elf agression act as an excuse or something.
But then that is also ran out now, as sylvanas was ousted.
My understanding given the timeline - (Wo)W is fundamentally orcs vs humans, but for WoW purposes W3 and WoW have been expanded for more options.
With the Pandaren being like the imperial war in Skyrim. Pick your side, there are still two groups hating each other.
Changing it would be difficult now, considering much of the world is based on this. Blizzard could make all the races neutral+, but existing questing would be extremely silly.
If youâve done Bladeâs Edge non-sequentially (Ogriâla too early) and slain ogres when youâre not supposed to, you know.
WoW2 could solve it. Also from a technical point, PvE servers and expansion zones can, like all neutral quests starting with old goblins, the only leftover is faction tag for loot.
but are orcs and humans the most popular races/cultures in the game?
the way blizzard could solve this, is make you friendly with your faction, neutral with most factions and at war with one or two factions.
And then by killing/doing quests/taking decisions, you change your rep.
And if you build respect with one faction, that makes you hostile to another.
And so you pick up a quest from first faction, but the second is blocked to you.
I dont think its super complicated, we had that in classic with small factions.
Fully in agreement here, Puniest of Elves.
I want alliance players to be able to walk into orgrimmar, and Roleplay there.
Likewise, I want horde players to be able to chill out in all those cute houses in Boralus. They have cake, and tea, and so many taverns! Itâs the perfect RP city, it beats Zuldazar so much.
And speaking of that, Horde RP is basically dead on AD these days. You need to be in a guild to find any. By breaking down the wall, theyâd be bringing that back to life.
When Pandaren were added, I was hoping this would be the first entry toward neutralityâŚ
I was hoping other allied races would do the same thing as pandaren, pick your faction.
