Blizz, pls bring back the fight between horde and alliance. It is nice to save the universe but, at least for me, I would like to have again the feeling that I belong to the faction I am playing with, horde or alliance. Do not get me wrong, I like all the expansions, including Dragonflight but I would like to come back to more usual stuff, like the fight between the two factions. And I don’t like to see horde and ally dancing together.
I want the faction war back only if they do a proper PvP expansion. But so far they’ve made it clear that PvE is the way, so Horde and Alliance may as well dance together.
Probably but I still hope…
Yes i want to beat again those alli scums
Don’t worry, BFA looks like it’ll be a promising PvP expansion. We’ve got a war already started and new Faction-based warzones.
Our “faction” is now Azeroth
i want a proper faction war. But damnit we cant just keep swinging between friendship and then happily killing eachother and then holding hands with your peoples murders again . It makes the horde and alliance look bipolar.
I like factions wars but BfA made me realize blizz just cant write that properly. They cant write anything like that without someone being pure evil and then another bigger evil popping up the first patch wich we will unite for.
They cant do morally grey.
Well, ironically that is the easiest thing to do.
You would be beated again xD
Can’t remember the last time horde won a single war since the 1° war.
Lore wise it make ssense. There is an armistice. And for the first time we are properly teaming up again.
It wont last. It cant. The horde cannot be trusted as they have proven time and time again over the last few decades. Even with this new’council’they cannot be trusted. Soon the horde will try and pick a fight, again, its in their nature.
Next faction war Blizzard could sell 2 boxes.
Box 1: BFA under a new name.
Box 2: the same game without faction conflict features.
Yes, I would actually pay for less features
Cheers.
I doubt it’ll happen because:
- PvP isn’t the main focus of the game (not saying it shouldn’t be).
- Faction imbalance is already a problem and will become a bigger problem if player counts keep dropping. Cross-faction is a necessity.
- It’s difficult and awkward to write because neither faction is allowed to win and Blizz can’t and shouldn’t do ‘morally grey’.
- Faction pride.
Fight between what horde and what alliance? You mean the two factions which existence doesn’t makes sense to begin with?
It made sense for the first 3 wars (more or less for the 3rd). I get what you implying but even tho cross faction guilds in the horizon, still dont think its a good idea.
War of Thorns…?
I’m pretty sure that canonically ended with the Alliance Warfront, in other words, the Horde got thrown out again, albeit only after wrecking everything, since that’s the only thing the Horde can ever do.
PvP is a side-game, always has been (Blizz only added BGs because mass fights in Hillsbrad and Barrens were overloading the servers, and that was only because besides instanced PvE, Vanilla had preciously little else to do)
Also, PvE suffers under faction imbalance, Blizz just allowed cross-faction raiding, words fail me to describe how foolish re-dividing the playerbase would be at this point, all so some keyboard warriors can get their “RARR SMASH!” on again, and then grumble about being defeated due to some plot contrivance (Yet spared from paying for their aggression) because neither faction can ever truly win or lose.
War of Thorns is part of the four war, that clearly was an alliance pirric victory xD
Part or something or not, it is called a War, not the Battle of Thorns…
And the Horde pretty much won that round
Officially, it was a Tactical Horde victory
They won’t.
The only way it might come back in a sense is how we had skirmishes in Pandaria with a backdrop of a 3rd party threat.
battle for azeroth style faction war was a mess and they know it.
Yes, avoiding the alliance army. But as I said, war of Thorns is the name of the starting phase of the Four war. And as an user said up, this combat end with the Battle front of Darkshore, where night elves Kicked the horde butts.
Don’t try to grab on to a burning nail
