I do not understand why this would be against the rules?

well its just that i heard some person got banned for sending gold to their low lvl alts

Most unlikely. They must have been buying gold. My sense say that they don’t tell the whole story!

I even got perma banned for this before. I also did some other crazy illegal shtufft, bit I’m pretty sure it was the alt mail that was the final straw

Don’t worry, only botting is bannable - your friend must have been unlucky. Blizz probably assumes botters by the huge amount of gold transferred to one toon. Mistakes like that do happen.

It’s best if you send larger sums of gold only infrequently to be safe, and you can always appeal if things do go wrong.

Do your mission table dude. 1-2k per alt per day.

This. Two visits per day, separated by 8 hours or so, will pretty much guarantee a minimum of 1K/day, if Night Fae with a Level 9 Table. 5 minutes, tops.

You need to get your TROOPS higher than the expected mission level. There are a few tricks around that. Specifically, by rotating through the covenants and using the one-time follower boost you get from each, you can get one follower to 60, which makes the troops 60.

Four Trappers, or three Trappers and a healer, will then carry almost any follower through the missions easily.

Apart from Tables, if you want reliable daily cash, your best bet is to farm the trash in the first LFR wing of Heart of Fear. Talk to the Raid Finder Storyteller in the Lorewalkers’ place above Mogushan Palace in Vale in Pandaria. Enter and kill all trash (bosses don’t matter much). Leave Instance and keep entering until you have done your 10 per hour. Takes mayve 15 minutes for 10 runs once you have developed a rhythm. You will get vendor trash and auctionable Motes of Harmony.

And I have sent gold, sometimes hundreds of thousands, between alts with never a problem. There have been some cases where the automated system stopped some mails, but that was long ago, and they were all sorted out successfully.

Just, when sending gold, always make SURE you’re sending it to your alt. The addon Postal is good for that. Or attach a Bind-on-Account item like a Heirloom so you can’t be sending it to anyone but yourself.

Also there is covenant dailies which can be rewardable with 5k-6k golds per alts, also in less than a week

While having 30 alts + covenant callings = 180k golds

20 alts + Covenant callings = 120k golds

Send a mail to one character, just like my alts sending golds from mail to my worgen warrior with name “Worgenbrian”

Of course it’s okay. Though you probably get 1k gold easier by just doing some quests than farm resources? I mean the covenant quest for collecting 1000 anima alone gives you a bit over 1k gold per week. Run a couple of lfg or lfr and you’re at 1k also.

Update on my earlier post.

It’s been a long time since I did the HoF LFR farm, and my memory was sketchy.

1.5 minutes per run is right if you clear trash only up to the first boss. I just did a touch over 3 minutes per run clearing the first boss and trash up to the second boss. Which is better depends how much time you want to spend on it vs how much gold.

Ask the Raid Finder Storyteller for the Dread Approach to the Heart of Fear.

From 10 runs of the instance, clearing the first boss and al;l trash before the second, I got

1,876 gold after vendoring all Greens (you won’t sell them at Auction)
119 Motes, worth 10.90 each at the AH today, so 1,297 gold there.
13 Lockboxes, worth nothing if you vendor them, but maybe 40 gold each if you have a Rogue that can open them.
2 pets, that might theoretically sell for a couple of thousand gold, but will probably be hard to shift.

Brann Bronzebeard, in that room, will act as a vendor for the Greens you want to vendor.

So for the half-hour, a fairly safe 4,000 gold. Probably 4,500+.

The thing to do would be to do your Calling, worth 1800 gold (plus anover 3500 a week on average from the Paragon box once you get Exalted), then head down to Pandaria, do your ten clears, and leave the alt there. Log another alt and do your callings until your 10 instances an hour have expired. Then rinse and repeat.

Sending gold to alts has never been a problem.

What did happen as far as I recall is that some players had problems when transfering very large gold amounts between two of their characters from two SEPARATE accounts. However, once again as much as I recall this was easily sorted by the players by the players proving that both accounts belong to them.

On the other hand however, transfering gold between characters on the SAME account has always been fine.
