Why roll a lock when you can roll a hunter and do tribute runs? Or even roll a mage and do whatever you like as it’s more gold per hour (be it DME, yes, mage can do it, DM, lasher farm, heartglen farm, ZF farm, silithus elemental aoe farm…). 
Making gold in classic is easy with pretty much all classes except warrior (you’ll need to duo it as war in majority of cases to reach somewhat decent gold per hour).
Thing is that there is no “magic pill” that boosts your gold per hour to 100+, you have to farm gold consistently and every day for couple of hours in order to get somewhat decent chunk of gold.
Would be great if OP could tell us what class he plays though, without class there is not much help he’ll get.
