Fat "Kachink" pig mount of $$$ on day 1 of mythic race?

As much as you are rewarded by buying tickets for Blizzcon?

Buy 2 get 3 is a better “reward” from stores than Blizzard “giving” away something that doesn’t actually cost anything to them.

I know developing those cost for them, but the ctrl+c, ctrl+v doesn’t cost them anything.

This boils down to the other scam they ran with removing stuff from the store and putting it on a “sale” for couple weeks. There is no actual reason they removed them, it’s just to get ppl to buy the products that didn’t sell that well. Lets wait couple months and surprise they are back with the return sale. Wowie Blizzard is so generous.

Many players would buy the game time anyway so these promotional mounts are those buy 2 get 3 (but Shu-zen and Hogrus are based on real celebrations/festivals and they get their background story afterwards, that is why they are not really implemenatable in the game)

Yeah, this was a nasty “deal”.

Only in this case its buy 12 get 12,0001.
Are they actually making background stories for store mounts? They are actually wasting development time on that. :pensive: There really is nothing left of the Blizzard I liked.

Omg, this mount could be created by their sister company, so the development time equals zero. If you do not like the mount you just do not need to buy it, if there are players from China who hate it then they just won’t use it (like 99% of all players who use just a few mounts from their collection)

It is just something extra for anyone to acquire to feel entitled or beeing awarded that they were playing during certain time and for players from the West it is available via the store (either for € or gold).

I feel the same. We have the option to buy it in the store for money or gold. It’s lovely to get the chance to own it too.

I certainly wouldn’t use it, don’t want that “kick me” sign on my back.

I remember when Blizzard created their games by putting gameplay first, now they make store mounts and promise that gameplay will come someday.

But creating one mount recquire minimum amount of time + it could be created by sister company. I am not overall happy with the BfA content so far or class designs or the necklace, but this promotional mount from the East has nothing to do with the situation.

Yes, it does, Activision straight told their plans for the future when they talked to their investors. More monetization, cutting costs, less development time and vomiting out games more frequently. These guide lines were also given to Blizzard.

Yeah, though many people behave like it is mandatory to buy it immediately.

We see this same over reaction about an optional cosmetic item sold in the store, or even if they have a sale.

Even with the advent of tokens and being able to convert to bnet balance so that people don’t have to spend IRL money, they still find ways to villlify Blizzard.

I really do not see how Blizz/Activision can profit from Hogrus … it is flying pig for God’s sake! If it was water elemental that drop from mythic Jaina I would see a problem then. + They got practically no money from Chinese players, because the ration of those who would buy it/would be pissed off by it would balance itself.

Ppl need to over react, if these things would go down without some kind of an outrage it would just get worse. Just take a look at EA’s sport games, ppl didn’t mind when microtransactions sneaked in there and now it’s full on gambling with lootboxes.

It is a 25 euros costing flying pig, I can’t see how they wouldn’t profit with it.

I’m enjoying the break from WM discussions

Or just gold? … people sell tokens for many reasons to get equip, heirlooms, to buy mounts from auction and vendors. How is this any different? Players who are willing to give Blizz money for tokens would do it anyway and those who earn in game gold can use it for whatever purpose they want to, such as buying said tokens.

They still get the money, don’t they. It doesn’t change the fact that Blizzard gets money. Tokens were necessary evil to get rid of gold sellers. Wonder how they will deal with boost runs…

Yeah, but it is the problem of tokens and not the mounts, because you can use your Bnet balance for any Blizz game.

Players paid for said services even before tokens and they’d have if they never existed.

Well wow token is the only reason I am subbed to the game right now. I doubt I will buy another month tho.

I’ve thought that you have problem with them, but anyway if you are not paying for your game time, I do not get why are you so angry, that there is yet another mount which you can buy with gold, which you acquire while you are playing? (basically someone else pay for it)
