shaman/rogue/mage etc etc all have gotten multiple rework passes, Frost DK is still in legion, but without a relic weapon

Raise Ally talent is pointless it has no PVP activation and thus is a dead talent for pvp

there should be an addition to it , to compensate for pvp

i suggest,

  • a passive heal when a party member takes fatal damage
  • or ghoul is sacrificed to prevent a killing blow

all i see from the hero talents are disappointment and nothing to tackle the overall issue DK has that being our talent trees and that it aint worth a damn thing.

Hey class dev team, all 3 spec write ups are now up… Not saying we should sycophantically praise and agree with class writers, but their fundamental critics are on point, so hopefully that will give you some food for thought.

The common denominators are basically what everyone seems to agree on: we can’t keep going on with band aid fixes. We need a class centric overhaul. Change how our class tree works… Eliminate all the useless talents that seem to just bloat the specs trees.

Could we see a more unified class once again? At this stage I’d be happy to try anything to bring a breath of fresh air in this class.

Tank from any of the 3 specs via a return of presences and core class talents?

More useful utility throughout the specs?

UH specific stuff… Personally I’m very tired of the wound & festermight system, comparing it to the combo point system but worst is pretty accurate imo… Class writer mentioned interacting with our pets in some more meaningful way like BM hunters do, which I don’t disagree with, but I’d like to see diseases and dots playing a more interesting role, especially on ST besides being a button we press every 27 secs to maintain a debuff…

After January nerf in PvP DK become sooo weak!!!

DK right now can’t tank both physical and magical damage we also can’t pin players any more whit out dieing from the damage our defensive struggle to mitigate,

our damage are subpar and unholy is a mess where it burst instead of rot enemy down bad design for it to play any other classes, frost hits like a feather and has no tools to trap players in place whit out duble chains gimmick spam,

our talent tree hard locks us to pick mandatory talents whit also not offering other meaningful choice,

our class talent tree offer far to many fillers and 2 point talents that takes away from the talent trees potential to build a more thematic spec it’s borderline useless that talents that are never picked or even worse forces us to take aoe talents that offer no single target benefit looking at you unholy tree whit that stupid epidemic and pestilence,

our apoc is hard locked in to minions only instead of having choice nod to tailor it towards diseases our pet cd and it’s not any better as there are no talents for us to generate undeads during the fight for more pressure, this leaves unholy in a place were you feel like your only playing DK during cd and not the whole fight being pve/pvp,

like many shout about that we need full rework for both frost/unholy i can’t see blizztard ever doing that especially now whit them openly being spitefull towards the player base especially the DK player base.

I’m not sure how i feel about the news that the priest hero treee is getting a rework.

I mean, on one hand… yay! Theyre going to rework somthing the community thought wasnt great.

But on the other… DKs have been more negative than posative about our previewed one thus far but weve had silence.

I fear the issue two fold. Blizzard dont listen to EU anymore and Blizz are not sure what to do with DKs at all.

yeah omfg i read that i was so super Fing tilted that priest yet {AGAIN} get reworks before DK can have it’s first one man F Blizztard,
like why does none of the hero talents for DK offer necromancy as a hero talent specialization when the class is the gigga version of a necromancer, it makes no damn sense how blizzard seems to have a discount brained priority towards it’s playerbase.

The ideas are cool but thats were it ends nobody wants to stand in death&decay 24/7.

Also kind reminder that a good 70% of our abilities are mediocre build up for bad burst.

Want good and cool idea for instance make Death and Decay a passive of some sorts.

Although I feel your pain, the Oracle PI on steroids debacle was a problem way beyond being a priest hero spec… A big proportion of the player base basically doesn’t want this PI culture to carry for loads of reasons… Not to devalue us any further or anything, just a point. That’s kind of blizzard’s fault for adding support classes, but not being quite sure how to use them properly yet.

Would you put this between blood and UH, or UH and frost? I feel necromancer doesn’t suit neither of those… Maybe could work with frost if all the new additions become frost themed, like undead dragons, or icy zombies… Not that any of the current ones sound particularly thematically strong. I’m vaguely interested in “Rider Of the Apocalypse” as a theme, but “Deathbringer” sounds so generic. San’layn is cool as a concept, but as we seeing from those talents, they’re a bit lame.

How about Lich? Would be very interesting to implement a small spell casting angle on DK… Don’t ask about technicalities though, just a theoretical idea. It would work really nicely being a Hero talent between Frost and UH too.

Id say a 4th tree would work great. Or a full UH alt tree useing hero talents?

I.e.

UNHOLY-FROST
Loose the ability to wear plate BUT all abilities become ranged.

Loose rune power, gain mana.
Festering strike becomes Finger of Frost.
Single target spell, deals Cold/death damage. Adds stacks of deathchill.

Scourge stike becomes soulshatter.
Deals dmage time X amount of deathchill to target and surounding enemies.

Death and decay becomes Soul Rot.
Soul rot is an aoe place on enemy, deal X damage to all enimes nearby and (talented) apply deathchill.

Outbreak becomes Summon dead, raise 4 minions to fight for you. A melee who absobs damage, a melee who deals damage, a ranged and a healer. Lasts 10s + 5s per stack of death chill on current target.

Cool concept, but I don’t think hero talents are meant to basically change the entire class, at this stage, it’s a new spec or straight up class.

Though I’ve always theorised that Unholy is 2 specs crammed into one, necromancer, but also a shadow/death themed one…

Considering that all 3 specs have an element of disease, it’s weird that we don’t have a plague themed hero spec. It would double down on on dots and debuffs and play on that fantasy. It could easily work anywhere in the spec triangle.

The only thing I wish for DK is to get Presences back. They were a great thematic and allowed us to adjust our gameplay ever so slightly. Now I would also love to see the old rune system make a return but I’m not getting my hopes up for that…

Before you look at these talents please take a look at the entire class and rework it, the design is so old it is practically CREAKING blizzard

I think you’re right about unholy, it should be two different specs. One focusing on the necromancer theme could be a pet class like demonology and one focusing on curses, DoTs, shadow and decay more like affliction
