We’ve been waiting 20 years for player housing. The neighborhood area looks incredible and is so much bigger and full of more potential than I could ever have imagined. I love the design, I love how multifaceted it is, and how many possibilities it offers, especially for RP.
But collecting decorations is a real pain.
- “You don’t have the reputation with this character, even though you have it as an account-wide achievement.”
- “You have the reputation with this character? Great, but you don’t have the gold, haha!”
- “You have the reputation with this character AND the gold? That’s too bad, because you don’t have the resource it costs. Tough luck, buddy.”
Firstly: I have 20 years of playing time. I have account-wide achievements for reputation, for example in Stormwind – my house is account-wide, so why is it suddenly no longer the reputation requirement that applies to the character? And why do I have to go through my entire character list to find out which character is revered where so I can buy you decorations? It makes no sense and is absolutely no fun.
It’s frustrating.
Incidentally, it’s just as frustrating to have all the decorative items thrown into the merchants’ normal offerings, so that you first have to laboriously pick them all out.
Please give the merchants who offer decorative items a marker on the minimap.
Easter egg hunts are only fun during the Noble Garden event.
I don’t want to have to farm endlessly for ancient resources again. I don’t want to grind for decorations! I’ve done that before, and now I just want to move into my well-earned, beautiful house in peace and make it as cozy as possible. I’ve already earned all of this, so why do I have to laboriously go through my character list, farm resources again or send them back and forth, and go through reputation lists to see which character became revered by whom, when, where, and why? It’s all easy for people who have played the same character for maybe 20 years – they’re now saying, “Oh, it’s no big deal, don’t be silly, no one’s forcing you” – but I see it differently.
And unfortunately, I have 65 characters that I’ve all played at different times because I love playing WoW with different characters!
And guys – how am I supposed to know who I played where 15 or 20 years ago and who got the reputation where – I don’t remember, but it annoys me immensely to have to unravel all that in such minute detail.
Please simplify the acquisition of decorative items. Please. That would make everything so much nicer, more enjoyable, and more fun than it is now. Right now, it’s just a pain and frustrating.
What else I stumbled across:
- You should be able to see the outside of the house from above so that you can place things in a really targeted way.
At the moment, it still feels like a lot of trial and error and is cumbersome.
-
Give us a clear line where the property ends and where we can decorate. The colors and lines of the grid are too faint.
-
Likewise, the colors and lines inside the house are too faint; make the contrast stronger.
-
The floors in the parts of the building with stairs cannot be colored or changed to a different floor covering on the landing, which disrupts the immersion.
I just came across the Vendor for Gilneas in Darnassus because I was exited to buy worgen stuff.
- “You did not do this one particular sidequest in the worgen starting area? Too bad I can’t sell you now one of the 2 Items you could buy from me”
…at this point? This is just a kick in the n*ts. To be forced to play again the worgen starting area just to be able to buy a friggin chickens stall?
… Because back then I wanted to play my worgen so bad I was not interested in side quests ._.
This feels not like a fun thing to do this is punishment.
I did not find yet:
-
kitchen stuff like cooking stations, stoves for cooking, placeable food besides one fruits plate, kitchen sinks
-
bathtubs, bathroom sinks, stuff like that (toilets or something)
