Since there is so much feedback for the new worgen models (including the topic regarding both gobs and worgens) I decided to make a post purely for Goblin related feedback on the new models currently visible in the wowhead dressing room.
Regarding Male Goblins
You can find images with my observations here: https://imgur.com/a/txuFwjO
The main feedback is:
- Eye colour on face 3 is wrong (it’s supposed to be red)
- Eyebrows are too high, giving a suprised look instead of the current frown.
- Pupil is way too bright compared to the rest of the eye.
- Eye shadowing looks like make-up instead of a natural shadow. (this is also caused by the raised brow)
- The lines behind the eye looks like female eyelashes.
- Round features near the eyes make the male gob look more feminine.
Regarding the other male goblin faces, they all look VERY similar and lost all characteristics. For example, the face with yellow eyes had a bit of a ‘physco’ vibe to it and now it looks the exact same as all other faces, except for a few wrinkles and eye colour. Nagrash was kind enough to put together the images, take a look!
Regarding Female Goblins
-
Currently none of the female goblins have eyebrows, eventhough in current wow they do. Ofcourse this could just be a bug in the dressing room.
-
Mouths look very big compared to the previous model.
Here is even more in-depth description how female goblin new models don’t fit the vibe of the old one, thank you Soxxy!
Things I like about the new models
The body looks good, the animations and facial expressions look good. The ears and noses are done really well. The earrings have physics now!
Hair texture and colours look great.
Underwear looks exactly like in the old model just higher quality, which is cool.
Some of the female goblin faces look really cute and well done. (like face 4 looks pretty much identical just better quality)
These have been my observations regarding the new models.
I’d love to see more people join the discussion and share their observations in regards to the new goblin models.
When people bring in more constructive feedback I can add it to the list!
