Since no one actually wants to go ahead and create a thread for it, instead they would rather complain on my Void elf thread… I’ve created one myself. And please please please… this time keep it relevant to the Topic. Don’t mention any other races. Please.
First of all I will give my feedback on some of the already shown customization coming for Shadowlands for Belfs, then Suggest what I would like to see added since we are in Beta and there is time hopefully for them to add stuff, since some players think it’s not enough.
Hair colors:
I love the new hair colors added.
Hairstyles:
The Tiara is great, but the hair is a bit bland. I would love to see the Tiara on other hairstyles.
The Long one with the pony tail is great! They probably got the idea from Valeera who is this famous blood elf rogue character. I am definitely going to make a Blood elf rogue just for that hairstyle. It screams blood elf but also screams Horde.
Jewelry:
Love the new jewelry earrings, necklaces, and Body jewelry look great and go with the Blood elf theme. But some argue That it would be covered up by armor unless wearing a revealing outfit, so it’s not that important. And it also clashes with some transmog. But personally I love it!
Eyes:
I love that Blue eyes was added, you can go crazy with Rp now or just use it if you like it. I love the blind eyes too, since Lor’themar has one. Different shades of green were added, Turquoise
Ear size Options:
Amazing!
Now what I would like to see added beyond that, and some of these are Blood elf player suggestions:
Farstrider Tattoos / Runic tattoos
Again the Tiara, would be nice on other Hairstyles
Slightly torn ears
Scarring near eyes, etc.
Dark Ranger skin with eyes. If not possible, it would be nice to give Blood elf Deathknights a red eye option.
Maybe even Makeup like the Human females got, since Belf females are girly.
Overall I’m excited to see what else Blizzard Adds.
First of all, there are no set farstrider tattoos on any characters really. What Rommath has are runic tattoos, probably more for him being a mage and not a ranger.
If you refer more to Alleria’s tattoo. I personally find them rather dreadful and not really fitting of the blood elves right now.
No red eyes, blood elves aren’t undead. Making an undead option just for rangers wouldn’t make senses at all.
For DK’s thought it would be cool to have a red eye option, would make more sense for them to have them.
Everything else you mentioned is nice, more scarring would be cool. Some other hair accessories would be nice too aside from the tiara, doesn’t really fit my paladin.
Some people are just childish. Instead of focusing on what stuff they want to see added to their favorite race, instead they like to complain about other people’s favorite race.

2 years ago at the start of all this allied race stuff it got so bad that there were at least 5 threads getting locked a day over it.
Skin colors:
go against any and all lore of high/blood elves but Blizzard showed that they can retcon whatever they like (like retconning more than half of War of the Ancients in Legion expansion) so whatever. Might be cool. My Belf is of darker variety already because some of the skin colors ingame looks so pasty pale you can’t even see the face anymore.
Jewelry:
Please don’t. Most of it looks really gaudy, like something you’d expect a horizontal worker at a brothel to wear. Give us body tattoos instead. Well, most of it will be under clothes at all times anyway since there’s not nearly enough slootmogs ingame (vanilla 4 pixel 10 polygon atrocities mostly).
Ears:
All for it, but unlike NE ear customization, BE ear choices make them look like Orcs instead. But it’s a choice so it’s everyone’s personal business.
Eyes:
PLEASE NO LIGHTBULBS. Give elves sclera, like Tyrande has on her promo art of Warcraft 3. I don’t even care about the colors at this point (certainly having more than fel green or light brainwashed are cool but not really all that necessary).
Scars:
NEED. All types. Love Lor’themars and most NE ones. Wouldn’t say no to scars being a full body thing, not just face. A warrior needs to be properly battle-scarred to look good.
Hairstyles:
BElves have plenty of “high society” hairstyles but a dreadful lack of anything casual or combat ready - I LOVE some of the new nelf/draenei hairstyles or even all the Kul Tiran ones. My former coworker had an awesome mane of straight blonde hair and she looked badass just having bangs till ears falling freely along her glasses/face, while she tied the rest of it into a loose tail. I swear she’d be a perfect valkyrie if anyone got her into plate armor and got her a spear lol
PS: not all elves are mages, please give us more than Disney princess hairstyles (a tiara is just adding insult to injury)
Having more hair colors is always a plus. I envy nelves so much lol.
Eyebrows:
Option to cut them to socially acceptable standards (so they don’t clip with every single helmet in game)
Face:
Option for different facial structure - I’m an european and I don’t really like those primadonna duckfaces we have now. I’d love an option with more narrow eyes, slightly wider jaw and wider chin (doesn’t have to be too wide, but at least no longer weapon-grade sharp). A bit wider mouths wouldn’t go amiss either - these positively TINY mouths with big lips only resemble duckfaces to me (it’s why I wear helmet that covers bottom half of the face)
I’m totally choosing that hairstyle too. I have a Rp story In mind, where my character is the daughter of Lor’themar and Thalyssra but she looks more like her dad. so Princess of Quel’thelas. With the Tiara it would look amazing.
I just want to point out that body jewlery isn’t a thing. It was just something datamined very early on but was likely scraped before the Alpha even went live.
Personally i just want a few more hairstyles. Specifically “rough/wilder” ones. Something to better fit hunters, warriors and rogues and the other melee classes. Also longer hairstyles. I’d settle for a longer version of the ponytail. Just make it 50% longer and call it a day and i’d be happy.
I mean, the jewellery looks nice, but that being the new customisation that defines them is a more superficial approximation of the race. Nothing that really harkens back to tough-as-nails WC3 Blood Elves, the remnants of a race that bear the physical and mental trauma of a genocidal zombie apocalypse. Am I looking too deeply into it?
As it is at the moment, my male Warlock is gonna have his hair colour changed to the darker black and have a new beard. That’s it really. Ideal options for me would be scars, tattered ears/eyebrows, the thin red rune tattoos the BE has on BC box. Would be well happy with that.
We shall see! I think my favourite customisations so far are that of the Night Elves and Orcs. Proper solid.
The blue eyes are awesome, the hairstyles are meh, the earnings are meh, the hair colours are also meh, the necklaces are cool. The earrings specially are so underwhelming, and so few hairstyles. Oh almost forgot, I like the two lighter skin colours. Overall I’m unimpressed. Is it bad? No, but there are only a couple of things that are interesting in all those options.
Their are not farstrider tattoos, but yes, tattoos like Rommath would be cool.
Agree, more makeup options are a must. I also want different facial structures like the humans got (I think all races should have different facial structures).
If what the other people are asking is the features of your favourite race, then it’s a bit different don’t you think? You are allowed to ask, but I’m also allow to voice my disagreement with void elves receiving anything more that belongs to blood elves, either hair colours or hairstyles.
Dark Ranger customization would be so cool! Undead skin tones and red eyes only. It wouldn’t cost much and undead elves with red eyes dont have to be hunters or rogues. They could be any class really. If not, then at least for death knights, yeah!
I do agree that hairstyles and hair colors should not be given to the void elves at all. The Voidy colored hair is what makes them unique. I made it very clear in many of my messages on that forum, and I even argued with some High elf fans on this subject.
I was only positive about the current customization they showed, which is the new skin colors. It’s the only thing I’m super excited for in Shadowlands. That’s the only thing im excited for. But even then, they wanted it to be removed too. And by “they” I mean the High elf/ Alliance haters.
Anyway I hope this topic closes for good, so we can focus on the Blood elves ONLY in this forum, since that is the name of the topic of thread. So please no more mentioning this. I already asked for the Void forum to be locked because it went super crazy.
Please talk about what you would like to see for the Blood elves, nothing else.
I’m not personally a fan of the customization we are getting except the eyecolors. Though if i keep my main as demon hunter eyecolors dont matter much .
I was really hoping we’d get long hairstyles without ponytails or long hairstyles with some hair jewelry in it. I’m not fan of boyish hairstyles so im super disappointed there wasnt a single long hairstyle that wouldnt be on a ponytail
The body jewelry is a nice idea but honestly it would require so called Sl*t mog to work, so hair jewelry would be a nice idea that you can use if you dont wear helmet, which is the most common piece people hide im assuming.
Tattoos would be really nice as well and scars. How many elves stay beautiful and scarless while fighting right
It only clips with 3D assets and because the vast vast majority of armor in this game is effectively just painted on the body you’ll only need to worry about finding any matching pieces.
Is it bad? No, but there are only a couple of things that are interesting in all those options.
