In the end you can do what you want to, and nobody can stop you, but a lot of people are saying that the majority of the RP community probably won’t find this as an agreeable concept and you are risking isolating yourself and thus stagnating - not fun.
Keep in mind that RP is a communal activity and requires cooperation to flourish, saying “just ignore me if you don’t like it” means people also have to chose to ignore everyone you RP with (guild, friends ect) and it leads to weird fractures in the already dwindling community.
I am sorry that I have came out that way. You are absolutely right, I asked for a feedback and didn’t expect it to be this bad. Again, I appreciate every comment and I am sorry if I was not polite in responding.
I can not add anything more to this thread, sorry for wasting your time.
Don’t feel too bad! Wacky ideas can be fun and there’s no reason to apologize for having an imagination. Whether or not you pursue them is up to you.
Granted, I also think that
particular idea is a bit odd, but I wouldn’t not rp with you if that’s what you wanted to do.
Broadly speaking the others are right; but some of the language is a little harsh for someone who’s being brave enough to put themselves, and their ideas out there for all to see (and judge!).
That’s my main issue, really. It’s not a good idea to build a character on a dubious concept as well as having an escape clause caveat of killing it before it has chance to grow.
I’d rather see you make a long lasting, complex character with some odd views that they can change and grow as a person rather than be a gimmick with an escape hatch once you get bored.
It’s just not a good attitude toward a character and RP in general.
