Im 60% there, and have disconnected my old twitch account from my bnet like Billdabutcha suggested.
The workaround of using a second Twitch account has worked for me.
I have received the mount this time.
One question about this. Did you link the new Twitch account before you had rewatched and claimed the drop with it or after?
I unlinked the old account and linked the new account before starting to watch the 4 hours and I have received the mount.

I created the new twitch account and watched the full 4 hours up to the point when ‘Claim’ became available. Only then I’ve removed the old connection and linked my bnet with the new one. I then claimed the mount and got it insta. So based on other inputs it feels like doesn’t matter wether you already have it before connect or connect before starting getting the credit towards the 4 hours watch, but either way only claim the mount when connection is established (I don’t know if it is even possible at all the claim without link, but of course do not risk it).

The world boss drop chance increase was a result of two things, a bug of such scope that it could have been impossible to correctly revoke the mounts from everyone and they probably didn’t want to overwork customer service seeing that current wait times are already in excess of two weeks - something you can’t really afford on expansion launch week.
Do the right thing and mail both the kite and mount to everyone, maybe not just everyone but at very least to all players who had an active subscription on the day of the promotion. Everyone happy, crisis averted.
When neither company can admit fault, be the adult for once. Fel Drake prestige has already been ruined. The no child left behind approach would make everyone happy and allow more time for the devs to focus on bug fixing the live game in real time.

And I will still be able to connect a new account even though it says there will be a 7 day cooldown?
I got the same warning (like everyone else I believe) but connecting a new one was allowed.

i got it too and was able to connect my 2nd twitch account
If your previous account was connected to your wow account for longer than 7 days, the switch should be instant.
I linked mine before I started watching for the Kite pet, so the old account was connected for couple of weeks now. I was able to connect to a new Twitch account just fine despite the “7 day cooldown” warning.
Just started watching for 4 hours again. Hopefully it works this time -.-
I recently reconnected the same twitch account to see if it helped, but it didn’t do anything (no 7 day cooldown).
Will relinking the same account have incurred a 7 day cooldown or would it still allow me to connect a completely new twitch account? I don’t want to disconnect my first twitch account if there is a cooldown. Time is running out and I am worried that I’ll never get it if I do this workaround.
Ive claimed on twitch and got the mount as soon as i relogged.
You won’t have a cooldown if you linked the same account.

I’m at 63% now with a new Twitch account but I did not yet link it to my battle net. I will do that once it’s on 100% before clicking claim I think. Ive heard reports of people linking it before AND after the 4 hours of streaming, but not during, so that why I’ll wait.
Just to clarify sorry, so there’s no cooldown for a new twitch account link even if I just relinked the same account (my old one) 1 day ago?

That’s fantastic, thank you! I’m building the 4 hours on another account now, and I’ll link it to my battlenet later tonight before clicking claim.
It’s a shame there has to be a workaround currently but I imagine a lot of people are worried that they’ll never get the mount otherwise.
I can confirm this fix worked for me.
- Made a new Twitch account.
- Disconnected my Bnet account from my old Twitch account (ignored the warning about 7 days)
- Connected my new Twitch account to Bnet
- Watched 4 hours of Preach (while logged in to new Twitch account)
- Claimed drop from within Twitch inventory
- Relogged in WoW
- Mount was waiting to be unwrapped in my collections.
