Feminine females and Masculine males characters. Will we see a return of this?

It seems to be an ongoing discussion that feminine females and masculine males are becoming a thing of the past with the World of Warcraft more specifically the path that it has taken.

It is like it has been forgotten what are Masculine traits and characteristics and Feminine traits and characteristics. As both males and females are uniquely different to each other.

What are Masculine traits and characteristics?

  1. Courage.
  2. Leadership.
  3. Stoicism.

What are feminine traits and characteristics?

  1. Cooperation and community building.
  2. Nurturing.
  3. Empathy and emotional.

Now there are males with feminine characteristics and such and females with masculine characteristics and such.
However there are things that are uniquely one or the other.
Such as females having superior social skills and awareness than males. Males being more logical and able to thrive in high stress situations than females.

What does this have to do with the World of Warcraft.
Since the release of the War Within expansion there seems to be a very large change among the Males and Females or Body type 1 and Body type 2 of the World of Warcraft.

An example of a masculine female character is the current Alleria Windrunner as she comes across as female Rambo. However Rambo is a uniquely male character type.
While the current Anduin Wrynn that seems highly emotional is not the masculine character he used to be.

While some can even argue that Masculine and Feminine characteristics and traits does not exist. They are still things that makes fantasy characters so appealing.

A “strong female” character for the Horde is First Arcanist Thalyssra.
Who even though she was at a “withered” state. She reached out to the Alliance / Horde champion for help, she never gave up on the other withered people, found a way to gather a resisitance even became resistant to the fel, but as the survivors or refugees of the Grand Magistrix Elisande regime was gathering. The Nightborne refugees were setting up their own community before they could cure their withered state with the fruit of the Arcan’dor tree and then Elven union spear headed retaking of Surumar.
Night Elves - High Elves - Blood Elves.

A feminine character for the Alliance is Lady Lucille Waycrest.
She placed the wellbeing of her people first. Requested the aid of the Alliance champion in order to learn the truth of what is going on with her people. Then she learned of the forgotten secrets of the Order of Embers. Those who turned things in the favor of Kul Tirans as they were initially losing the Drust vs Kul Tiran war.
Brought back the order of Embers, Through this order and the Alliance champion protected the people of Drustvar then had the resolve to face her mother the one behind all of the suffering of the Kul Tirans living on Drustvar before eventually defeating her mother.

Masculine female character and feminine male characters do not necessarily appeal to people as on and off WoW forums this seems to be something that is discussed.

There was plenty of examples of Masculine Male characters in WoW’s past. Such as Alexandros Mograine the Ashbringer for the Alliance or Broxxigar the Red for the Horde.
Both faced hopeless odds but despite this rose to the challenge and faced the threats that head on. Whether it be hordes of the Undead Scourge or endless numbers of demons.

Taran Zhu leader of the Shado Pan is an excellent example of a Masculine male character. Despite being wounded his intervention stopped the Blood Elves and High Elves forces from tearing each other apart on the Isle of Thunder.
High King Varian stopping Moira’s plan to take over and rule Ironforge alone but created the Council of Three hammers.

For the Horde Thrall gave the Horde leadership and direction. It would not even be the Horde without Thrall.

Do not attempt to derail the thread. Let’s try to stay focused.
The purpose of these thread is for discussion.

Some might consider this as “controversial” however the “girl boss” is masculine and it is different to a feminine leader and strong female characters. The former takes on assumed masculine traits and characteristics but pushes it own a female character.

Very bad trolling. Very boring take. Reported. lol

Look, we had a bit of a conversation regarding this the other day.

The truth is the game is indeed headed towards “that direction” and the agenda is here to stay.

You will find very few people with the same mindset on these forums. 90% are intoxicated by these liberal ideas and will label you as a troll (see the above poster) and a bigot.

Yes, the notions of feminity and masculinity are now frowned upon as well as most traditional values. This trend reflects in game as well.

Here we go again…

I’m not left wing or right wing. I’m just bored to death by LGBT and conservative topics in Warcraft. Some of you are fkin obsessed with these things. lmao

If you don’t like the game, stop playing it.

Who’s obsessed?

Using your logic most players on these forums should in fact quit asap as there is always something to complain/discuss about.

I guess we should all take WoW as it is and accept unconditionally everything or else delete.

I assume you are happy with everything and there isn’t anything you would like to change.

Or is it only acceptable to talk about things that do not touch your sensitivities?

It’s not about sensitivity it’s about you being brainwashed with American identity politics that take over your life and you end up seeing everything as a threat to your ideology.

Go outside, meet new people, take a break form the internet. Nobody really cares about these things. Politicians use these topics to make you forget about how they steal your fkin money non-stop.

Chill and enjoy things in life without the chronically online identity politics commentary.

Starting with a false flag report then?

This kind of rhetoric is what is actively ruining gaming. Some are trying their best to minimize sales and player counts.
Do you not want games to succeed?

If there is a market for Concord - Su1c1de Squade Kills the Justice League - Forspoken - Dustborn then so be it.

Stop reframing your idea. We both know this is about identity politics and you most likely are a conservative that’s triggered by fictional female characters in video games.

I personally do not care one bit about politics or even certain issues with the game story.

My ideology is strictly for myself and I do not need a game or random people on the internet to represent me or reinforce what I believe in.

I merely stated facts and like it or not, it is the truth.

You are patronizing. You are here just as I am. Going outside or meeting people has nothing to do with our conversation.

Politicians have always stolen money regardless.

I find it interesting how anyone who opens their mouth and speaks about these things is instantly ridiculed and canceled. A bit fascist, isn’t it?

That’s what you choose to see. I personally act the same way to both the conservatives and the liberals/feminists.

The internet brain washes you into thinking everyone is against you and you see enemies everywhere.

Again, overreacting much. I just stated that I do not care one bit about these things. I was just having a conversation, but you seem really worked up.

I am a bit, yes. The internet nowadays is only brain rot shorts/reels and identity politics.

I try to avoid these by playing video games but some of you bring that here too.

I think it’s alright to have a civilised conversation ocasionally.

Look regardless of my conservative views I enjoy the game a lot with all its ups and downs.

I genuinely believe the OP enjoys the game as well.

If you want to blame someone for all these discussions, blame Blizzard as theyre the ones who opened the can of worms to begin with.

But I agree with you that it’s best we stay away from this and just like I told OP, too much drama comes out of threads like these.

Yes, definitely.

I mean World of Warcraft is a game made by people from California, rated 13 years old+.

This isn’t a Zizek vs. Jordan Peterson debate.

People that make the story don’t read this forum. By posting identity politics non-stop all you do is troll and engage in internet drama. It’s honestly very boring.

I respecfully disagree. Whatever “agenda” you refer to. At the end of the day content still has to actually sell. People need to play the game and or consume your content.
Looking at trends people are not purchasing and or playing games meant for a “modern audience” but instead are choosing to buy and or play older games. Looking at the numbers such as player count. Black Myth Wukong still has millions of players.

What are people actually playing and what are people not playing.

That type of tactic simply does not work. Branding people as a “bad person” whatever the ad hominem might be. Does not actually prevent discussions from taking place. As there are those that still discuss things and others that tune in to said discussions.

Unfortunately there will always be those that push for censorship, preventing and or shutting down discussions from taking place.

Speaking from a market research perspective. If you do not understand the market then you will simply not survive.
Studies shows that “female gamers” prefer attractive characters both male and female over characters that are made ugly on purpose.

So while Eve of Stellar Blade seems to be a breath of fresh air.
She is nothing new. Bayonetta was first released in 2009 however Cereza is not much different in having a feminine body than Eve of Stellar Blade.
Yes women do have curves. There is nothing wrong with acknowledging this.
You see Dragon Age Veilguard not permitting players to make females with curvy bodies but looking at Mecha Break more specifically the character creation it allows people to make Masculine and Feminine body types.
When did it become unpopular to “represent” feminine bodies?

It feels more like a conflict between developers and players.
You see the likes of Brian Intihar understands that people dislike the Mary Jane segments of Spiderman 2 but he done so anyway. Sales and player numbers reflect the consequences of such actions.

There was also DMC released in 2013 where a completely different look of Dante was pushed then once the players disliked it there was a scene that was a slap in the face.

A similar thing was done with the classic outfit of Harley Quinn in Su1c1de Squad kill the Justice League.

Bro, this isn’t Zizek vs. Jordan Peterson debate or even a Hassan vs. Asmongold stream.

This is the European forum for a 13 years old+ rated video game.

This is a strange strawman.
Female characters have been in videogames since 1987. Samas Aran of Metroid franchise is a woman. Player skill is important as it was based on a speed run and player skill the gender reveal that you played a female character all along.
So most people did not know until years or decades later that Samas Aran is a girl.
You had Orchid of Killer Instincts 1998 who was a very talented fighter. I remember the rivalries that I had Riptor vs Orchid. My best against my relatives best. I won more than I lost but the defeats were decisive on both sides.

Amy Hennig the creative talent of Naughty Dog. Uncharted 1 to 3 and The Last of Us 1. The idea that female characters or female devs are new to the gaming industry is provenly false.

Golden Axe released in 1989 had a Warrior and Amazon and Dwarf.
Since Dwarves have always been their own fantasy race separate to humans. There was always “equal representation” since the 1980s.

Ok, you are clearly lost to identity politics brain rot content. I’m going to sleep, good night.

It’s an agenda that comes from america and the democratic party.

Most “normal” people is sick of it and Trumph won who is against this agenda.

So if we are lucky it’s not headed there anymore.
