Feral compared to rogue

Opners
Cheap shot is way better than Pounce
Ambush is way better than Ravage
Sap is infinitely better than nothing
Distract is infinitely better than nothing

Damage
Rogues do more damage than ferals.
Rogues do their damage instantly, ferals must spend several globals and lots of energy to build up damage.
Rogues build combo points way faster than ferals
Ferals must rely on bleeds to rot the target, rogues just slap.
Rogues even do partial nature damage, feral is pure physical.
Ferals must be behind their target to do proper damage, rogues have no limits.

CC/lockdown toolkit
Rogue has cheap shot, sap, blind, gouge, kidney shot, ranged kidney shot, kick, perma 50% melee slow and ranged 50% slow.

Feral has Pounce which is awful compared to cheap shot, bash which is long CD and wastes many GCDs to use, feral charge only in bear. And entangling roots, which u can never cast.

Survivability
Rogue has evasion and vanish. Preparation. Also their insane CC toolkit allows them to bandage, restealth, reset etc.
Feral has weak heals that you cant cast in PvP, beacuse they cost too much mana and you have no CC to allow you to cast it.
That leaves swapping to bear form, to take less dmg from physical but do 0 damage.

Mobility
Rogue has sprint, vanish shadowstrike, shadowstep and prep to do it twice.
Feral has feral charge and shapeshifting slows/roots. But shapeshifting costs so much mana that you can only do it very few times, you lose ALL energy when u swap, and almost every class can just instantly slow u again.

So in summary feral has much worse survivability, CC, interrupts, openers, worse mobility in fights and even worse damage in PvP in almost every scenario.
On top of this we are way worse in raid boss DPS, and we have literally 0 AoE in cat form.
We are also worse at questing/farming mobs because we cant use shred at all because we have no stuns that allow us to do it.

So the tl;dr is there is LITERALLY zero reason to ever play a feral over rogue in SOD. Its extremely inferior.

Fix please, and fast.

Then play rogue.

Or fix feral?

I think you’re incredibly wrong about this. Swap your wild strikes rune to the bear form one and you become insanely tanky. Also while doing in bear you can do a lot of dmg.

You can win every single 1v1 as a feral. I’d say shamans and orc players are the hardest because of the stun resist bs.

The biggest issue with feral right now is the manacost on shapeshifting. It’s so bad it’s preventing us from playing the game properly.

Lol what is this post go play rogue then ur a druid ur not meant to be better than a rogue you’re meant to be versatile and not a master of everything

Im not wrong. But please, show me a video of you or any feral beating skilled players in duels of any class.

Feral has

Healing

Wild Strikes

Different forms for every scenario

Battle ress and resa

Raid wipe buff

Fix rogues and nerf ferals

Feral is not a rogue!
Rogue is not a feral!
Both have their own toolkit. Just because they have similarities does not mean that they have to be equal.
Rogue can use range weapons, but it is not a hunter, do we have to make a list about how superior is hunter using range weapons, and ask for fix?
You would be right if feral had no other options but to be only on cat form and restricted from using all other druid skills.
In classic druid is shapeshifter, learn to use it!
If you simply cannot or it does not suits you, well what can we do about it?
Or you can become a game developer and make your own class as you like it.

Healing which is useless in raids, and useless in PvP. It costs extreme amounts of mana, and the casts are so long that you cant get any off. Useless.

Wild strikes, sure, so what? Rogues still do way more damage, but I guess its cool for the druids party members. Take this away and give me WOTLK Barkskin, feral charge cat or skull bash ANY day.

Who cares about battle res/res? Does that mean my class has to be awful when it comes to fighting?

A form for every scenario? We are bottom tier dps in raids, one of the worst tanks that nobody plays, and extremely lacking and in every way inferior to rogues in PvP. So much for versatility.

Im not asking to be master of everything, Im asking not to be TRASH for everything. There is a difference.

So you want Ferals to be equal to Rogues, but also have Heals, HoTs, Buffs, Spells, Bearform, Travelform and so forth.

Just roll a rogue.

Tldr : this is not a retail, if u playing druid in pvp sitting in one form only u are doing something wrong

There’s “LITERALLY zero reason”? Zero? 0?
Two main reasons: WILD STRIKES, combat ress.
Pugged every single reset on my alt, few on my main and haven’t seen a single grp without feral while there were a lot without a rogue. So a guaranteed spot while you play your uWu cat is a good reason.

Alright, you got me.
The one reason to bring a feral into a raid would be to buff your melee hunters with wild strikes, innervating your broken mage and battle ressing if someone steps in the fire.

What a THRILL to play a class where I am literally only there to enable the other raiders.

That totally justifies being bottom tier single target dps, having ZERO AoE and being awful in PvP/questing. Smh.

What part of feral/enh/ret being HUGELY buffed in every single expansion that followed vanilla is so strange to you classic Andys? There was a reason for that, we were all extremely undertuned.

people like op are the reason we end up with broken hybrid classes like spriest

You classic Andys are so cute I swear to God.

There is a reason ferals were buffed so much in TBC and WOTLK, the spec was ABYSMAL in vanilla.

Please make a feral and record how awesome you use your forms in PvP. You’re literally oom after about 3 shapeshifts, let alone any healing.

All the versatility of the class is useless in PvP, and only windfury, innervate and battle res is useful in raids. Everything else feral is extremely bad.

make a warrior and you will never call your feral bad in pvp

I don’t get it. You 've never heard the phrase “jack of all trades, master of none” ?
You picked druid in classic wow knowing the whole fantasy behind it, but expect it to be top in everything it can do? Are you jealous that the laser chickens are going nuts at pvp and wish your kitty can do the same? And then after they buff cats, trees will come asking for resto buffs?
Let’s buff literally all druid specs and have every fotm reroller running one. Just like retail couple years ago where top m+ runs had a feral tank, a resto druid and a chicken. How come we didn’t think of that earlier?!

I dont get it. Why make bad strawman arguments? I never said I wanted to be master of anything, just viable.
Feral druid was useless in vanilla. Extremely bad spec. Same with almost every hybrid spec, which is the reason they were all buffed massively for TBC and wrath. And even though hybrids were buffed massively, rogues, warrs still were the Gods of TBC/wrath.

The viability of a class comes not only by topping the meters. Ferals have a certain spot atm in pve. More than enough compared to other classes that are just “mid dps”.

Ferals are bottom tier single target dps. Ferals have ZERO aoe.

Feral is terrible in PvP mainly because of mana costs and other classes having OP runes.

But this is all fine because ferals have a raidspot because of windfury, innervate and combat res? If this is good game design to you, we’ll just have to agree to disagree, but Frankly I think that is extremely bad design.

Also, again, I didnt ask to top meters. I didnt ask to have EVERYTHING a rogue has. I ask for something closer to TBC feral, where feral began to be viable.
