Since players on the RU server are always isolated to one team, BGs take a lot of time to find. Finding AV is almost impossible, and low-level BGs are literally impossible to find.
Though I doubt my words will be considered, I would like to request the possibility of allowing RU players to be on the same team as EU players.
At the time of creating this post, I waited in the AV queue for more than 1 hour, and I doubt I will find one soon since the estimated time to find a match is unavailable.
It’s not so much what they wanted but rather what Blizzard set up 17 years ago when EU players complained about cyrilics in their chat. Actual Russians can’t buy game time for 18 months now, so RU server(s) are basically filled with Russian speakers from other post-soviet states who are all but unable to play. The few lucky ones like me have an EU account and bank account and play among you, but most are consigned to oblivion.
Sorry no, bad idea, I’ve played other games with Russians and they only communicate in Russian. You can’t play as a co-ordinated team if you don’t speak to one another.
I though you could join other players cross-realm.
Any russian can buy timecard in 2 minutes and play without any problems on RU account. Also after adding wow token to wotlk you can buy game time for gold.
No, I recently started playing. Never asked for this. Regarding the issue of not being able to communicate with you in English, I would like to point out that this statement is incorrect. And you can verify this by checking that I have written to you in English. I understand that not everyone may be good in English, but if this is not an issue on other servers, I wonder why it is a problem here.
May I inquire which law I am breaking? As for others, the same could be said (Probably, I can’t be sure since I am unable to play with them) for people who speak other languages. It is highly unlikely that every French/Spanish person will or can use English.
I could be in another country, not just Russia, my server is not limited to a single country. Any way, as for sanctions, I believe it is better to spend time playing a good game rather than any activity in Russia. Can’t do much harm with that.
There are no sanctions that prohibit any trading with Russia (embargo is only for Crimea and other disputed territories - their accounts are blocked). Restriction of selling some games and other products to russians are only company decision for its reputation (and also due to payment system problems) but not international/US low. There are also some categories of products that are not allowed to sell to Russia for US companies on government level, but video games are not currently in these categories.
I am too lazy to read full article but it is not full trade embargo (full embargo is only for Crimea and other disputed territories). If it was full embargo, Russian accounts would be blocked same is Crimean, this payment “abuse” not even hidden from Blizzard because accounts have Russian registration in profile and still can play. If blizzard wanted, they could block all accounts with russian registration in 2 minutes, but they don’t.
