So, i missed all the rage back when WoW first released.
My impressions so far.
Get out of your Alliance controlled areas = Ganked
Flight master touch down = Ganked
Try to do a quest = Ganked
Head towards a dungeon = Ganked
Log on = Ganked
Take a piss = Ganked
Take a dump = Ganked
Do anything = You guessed it, Ganked
I just cant see what i missed when i was 20 all them years ago to say the truth. If it carries on much longer, my wallet will talk and Blizzard can kiss my wallet goodbye.
Just did some research. Skullflame when it went live was 70 horde, 30 alliance. Since the PvP honour kicked in, it lost 7% Alliance. Its only been a week, if that. At this rate, give it a month and the horde will fight each other because… you can see the math right? 7% attrition a week will result in 1 alliance for every 100 horde.
Enjoy grinding honour when that happens
It was different experience back then. Less people on a server and the incentive to pvp was less because because you had to Lee the rank to wear the gear. Hell, I didn’t even know you got rewarded until months later.
My biggest concern is what if it doesn’t fix the issue?
Let’s say there’s a huge dominance of horde and all the 60 alliance will be in bg’s.
Aren’t the levelers still going to get ganked by the hordes not in the bg’s, nullifying the reason why bg’s were released early?
Because the 60 alliance are also participating in these raid pvp battles right now.
Other than that we’re all getting ganked on our way to dungeons.
I mean we’re talking atleast 10000 players per realm.
You are right but what the problem actually is depends on who you ask.
Having to fight to get to BRM will always be a thing. BRM is a hotspot and people enjoy pvping there.
You will always get ganked while in the world.
All that is why people roll on a pvp server though. I enjoy it.
What will change is that people who want to rank will do battlegrounds instead since it’s more efficient. This is assuming the battle masters place you in the location you queued whenever you exit the BG.
To put perspective on it I play in Ashbringer and the alliance controls most of the action. I fight one and 1-20 more arrive. The ghosts that run are mostly horde. I’m all good with that though. I wouldn’t have rolled on a pvp server otherwise. I can’t imagine being able to run past alliance and not worry about getting into a fight. Would make wow feel pointless to me. I just need some gear and I’m good to go.
Thats looks ridiclous, I would just stop playing or reroll right away. I mean if you literally cant make more than 2 meters/ death then its just not worth it to play on that server. And those horde players are deserve it to play on a dead horde server, I mean those horde players are scum they are ganking the same player over and over… if you can you should transfer righ away to a different server because thats looks unplayable.
Since Battlegrounds is now announced because of the zillion whine of player that go into a PvP server and can’t handle the PvP (mostly Alliance player), i’m now ganking everyone from level 2 to level 59.
To be honest there was like… four Horde in that video?
If the two groups who were trying to get into the Mountain teamed up they could have crushed the gankers and been on their way in a few minutes.
While being locked out of content by raid groups of gankers sucks, the tools to deal with this sort PvP are readily available and if you don’t choose to engage them then I have no sympathy.
Irony being that the Alliance will have a much easier time grinding battlegrounds (and thus honor) because they are not the FotM faction.
Across the entire of the EU the Horde are still the dominate faction.
It doesn’t take much of a faction imbalance (even just 45% to 55%) to cause the queues for the dominate faction to be much longer while the “weaker” faction has instant queues.
